An constitutional amendment to limit the Fed to a % of GDP would help. Then they would have to cut based on priorities. Question to other viewers: What do you think the % should be?
I think 10% (with a temporary 5 to 10% to pay off debt).
When I first heard about liberterian philosophy & free market economics I was skeptical. Then, I read David Boaz's book, "Libertatrianism" & the word libertarian & its meaning began to unravel. Just as important is what the "free market" is. I realized that Libertarianism is not new. It's just the philosophy that the founding fathers and many brilliant economist abided by. It's what made the US a great nation and the farther way stray away from this doctrine the closer we r 2 our demise.
"The Cato Institute has received a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America's largest and most-utilized independent evaluator of charities and non-profit organizations. In earning this four star rating, Cato has demonstrated exceptional fiscal responsibility and efficiency."
This website has yet to be updated. I'm curious, with the 2010 elections coming up, are you working on some state governments?

Has any government in the history of the world ever been permanently reduced in size through the legislative process?

Is Edwards a former Canadian, by any chance? I just noticed he has a slight 'canadian' drawl when he said "about" and it kinda sounded like "aboot".
