Yeah Tony was never "bad", per se. He was on his own mission trying to avenge Michelle's death, not caring at all about any collateral damage. He was using all sides to accomplish his goal.

i wouldn't say totally evil. he just became full of hatred becaue of what happened to him. he's more of the embodiment of a jack bauer that could have gone bad instead of stay good

people are not just good or evil.....there's always alot of gray area...

if Tony is on the dark side, then im sure the writers gave it a good reason....not everyone is either good or back, and after what Tony had gone through over the last 6 some years, I'd be surprised if it didn't damage him emotionally in some way...

Tony's return could have been a disaster, but the 24 writers made it work brilliantly. Yes, if was obvious that he wasn't really evil and the explanation for him being alive was ridiculous, but what made it so great was the fact that he really had been a terrorist for a few years before the events of season 7. This allows him to still have a mysterious quality where we're still not quite sure if he can be trusted. I love it.

He was a bit cold to the guy that asked if Tony would be sporting a soul patch. He replied "that is none of your business" with a stern face and never laughed afterward. Everyone chuckled for a second until they realized he was serious.
