I love this video. I had no idea that John Randall was the writer. I heard one song of his on a country music radio station in a 'vote for your favorite song of two' contest. His song didn't win that night, and I have never heard that song again. It was excellent though, and I wish I knew what the name of it was. I can't remember. I only remembered it was John Randall.

He should have done more of his own music.

I fell in love with this song all over again just now...actually even more so. how I wish Jon would've saved this song for himself. you can tell that these are his words and emotion.. this version shows just how heartfelt these lyrics are meant to be and the amount of raw passion has to be taken into consideration while viewing it. brad and allison's version pales in comparison. congrats jon on a job well done. do give us many more...I beg you!!

If you haven't heard this man you have missed a talent that counts. The radio can

push Country Pop and its charts all they want....but Jon and his music are what

oh wow, just wow, i thought nothing could beat Brad and Alison's version but by goodness was i wrong, this is as another user said very haunting and even more heart wrenching than the other version. I just dont know what one i prefer as both are as tear enducing as the other. beautiful breathtaking and very spiritually moving, what a lovely but sad sad tale it tells

This is my favorite version of this song. No one can sing it like Jon does... (Although I did like Brad/Allison's version.) The CD this is on "Walking Among the Living" is terrific--if you like the song, you should buy the CD. (IMO)

Thanks for posting. JOn's version of his own song is great isn't it? Lots of folks don't know How much great live music is out there, and how many unfamous musicians are out there, who's musicianmanship surpasses many of the Pop artists (of course Brad is awesome)..but, point is ..Jon so deserves to get his due. he's been around a while and played with many big names. .....Glad ur showing folks what a great musician he is.
