what's difficult is that you have to do all of the super/ultra inputs before you hit the ground. that's after the dash. swinging the stick like that is difficult unless you do the little shortcut (which is already kind of advanced). also, you have to time it perfectly so that your opponent doesn't just block after throwing a fireball.

The combo that they show you at 3:30 is scrubby. After a focus attack against shotos, Chun Li, Dhalsim, and maybe Juri, you can combo b.hk -> s.hp xx sonic boom -> cr.hk. Better damage, no FADC, hard knockdown, no charge required during the dash.

@JTcombomode God forbid I try to get people to do combos that actually do damage instead of hard combos that cost meter and do no damage.

Increasing damage output is an easy way to improve. Nobody should be fooled into thinking that combo they showed was practical - and this show is designed to help new players get better. They shouldn't waste their time on an 'advanced' combo that have no use.

This combo would be *dumb* to do in a competitive situation.

Who is going to win more often, someone who does a few hits for more damage, or someone who knows how to successfully link combos like these? @JTcombomode There's a difference between calling a player scrubby & calling one thing they do scrubby. It's a scrubby combo b/c it ignores damage scaling. It does look cool though.

If someone goes for flashy combos during a game and fight someone with practical, higher-damage combos that is otherwise their equal the flashy player will lose.

Honestly most guile players don't even know about his b.hk combos and my first comment was to point out how good they are.

@larsattack there's a reason why he used the FADC to Super in the earlier round and did the dash (without FADC) in the other...he needed to absorb the fireball which was greatly read by him to get in closer without taking any damage in the earlier round...& in the very end he took a very big risk but knowing he has invisibility during start up and he had NO LIFE to absorb left to do an FADC to Ultra...so, he chose the dash instead...great video reference in such a situation in one clip...

It's situational and results may vary among charge characters (still gotta practice it, though). Ur not always gonna be up against a projectile character. Even if you were, nobody's gonna up and let that happen. Damdai got mind-fucked, plain and simple. I think he felt safe b/c Bigg had no meter. He got baited with the Ultra. Maybe he didn't think he would go for it. Who knows. Gotta ask Damdai and find out.
