@Zundwig hey i feel you strongly on that one. with me, it was always a struggle and still is to go back to sinful music. my sister dated vinnie paul of pantera, so that was the up the anti of it all. that isn't a lie man i'm telling the truth. but i just stopped listening to them. now i listen to a lot of hillsong united, demon hunter, and a few others. there's even an "unblack" metal genre where they use the brutality of black metal with christian lyrics. Thats why i sometimes don't care for certain church regulations, i'm here for God, not for the other people that care about the way you look and others background history.

@TheAgonyOfVictory The bible has a lot of rules in it, not all of which apply to todays world. If you went strictly by bible regulations, all guys would have long beards, no earrings or piercings of any sort would be allowed, and if a girl was on her period and touched something its unclean for a week and you cannot touch until the week is up. Jesus loves everybody. no matter what. and if a person decided to get a tattoo or what not he'd love them just the same.

@Ultrahuntr yeh sure there are alot of things that don't apply now as they did back then but i thought that once you became a baptised christian then that signified you handing your life over to God to accomplish his plan, so in essence you no longer own your body, you are a "slave" to his wishes, hence you can't "spoil" the body with tattoos and piercings? i don't think Jesus loves everybody no matter what, i think he will love you if you turn to God, he's not gona love a serial killer is he?

@TheAgonyOfVictory theres so many religions because people want to create their own little "g" god as to raise themselves above everyone/thing else. all of the other religions believe in man made things and make them their gods. they dont want to worship something they cant see or feel, that is why Christians live by faith and not by sight. we believe in God because we believe He is true and believe what the Bible says even though we cant physically touch it.

I do not think it is out dated, everyone struggles with this, even I do, and i am a Christian. God hates every idol other than himself "for you will love one and hate the other" luke 16:13 and when we make idols other than Him, we are putting our earthly wants above Him

second, believe in your heart that Jesus came to earth to live a perfect life and because of that he was able to die on the cross for everyones sin no matter how little or big
third, confess yout sins to God and allow Him into your heart and to lead you on the correct path
it is as simple as that!! no catches!!!!!!

@TheAgonyOfVictory yes, i do believe that ONLY believing and confessing are enough, you will still go to heaven no matter what as long as it is sincere in your heart. We are also told to live an honoring life for Christ and to minister to people who have not heard of Jesus and what He has done. as Christians we are to show love to everyone like Christ did. But God will still accept you into heaven even if you dont. God is just, he keeps his promises as well and that is you only have to believe

Whenever someone tries to tell me that Christian metal bands can't exist or doen't make sense I always point to Demon Hunter. And usually tell them to listen to this song. It gets me pumped up everytime I hear it.
