I love this video!! I recently loss one of my babies way to soon he was only 9 months they other have not been handling it well it has been a struggle but we are finally getting everyone back on track and eating well!! This helped remind me of all the great times we had with little Journee and although short i think we did almost everthing a ferret could want to do!! Thank you for sharing Pete's happy amazing life <3

i cried T_T you love your animals so much! he sure looked happy. I'm convincing my parents to let me have one if i have good grades, i had a baby weasel for a few days but since theyre wild i gave it to a wildlife association, but it was still the best animal experience ever :3 so i wanted a ferret since theyre from the same family.

sorry for your loss, but he seemed to have had a great life without regrets <3

Sweet tribute to a precious soul..... ( tears) I loved seeing the joy in his body as he ran and played, tail flying !! Funny food stealing, bull dozing the snow..... even soo happy in his sweater. Ferrets know how to be happy and love their lives and their people. I can see that his love and trust were well placed. Thank you for sharing this tribute.

They say money canna buy you happyness, I humbly disagree, it can buy you a friend like Pete. Cared for proper like, and well loved as your Pete, a Ferret will be an incredible companion, I canna imagine doing life without these noble creatures being part of it. Sorry for your loss, i have grown up with ferrets my whole life.

I lost my favourite ferret Hampus (i´m from Sweden) when i was 17, broke my heart. You made a wonderful video that made me remeber all the good times with my ferrets. Thanks.

Although this was a sad video, it's probably the best ferret video I've seen on here (and that is ALOT lol) it was so cute and loving =) I'm sorry for your fuzzy loss! I hope mine lives that long (she is around 2 years old ^^)

@renaissanceferret I've heard of the Deslorelin implant & have seen one ferret thriving a year after she got it. It may be a great therapy for this sad, sad disease. I'm glad to hear that Pete did well on Lupron - We had just started Bristol RIP on it, but after having a great year on Lysodren, it was his time to go. It's always good to hear that a different medication has worked on someone else's ferret :))

As a long-term ferret owner, I'm so glad you had 7+ years with Pete. What a little character! My previous ferret, Bristol RIP, had Adrenal Disease, but with Lysodren therapy, he grew his hair back & lived another excellent year. I' am so sorry for your loss, & my ferret, Cowboy, sends his respects to Peter Ferret, RIP.

@annbaskervill - Thank you so much! Pete went on monthly Lupron and grew his fur back within a couple of months (which was good because he didn't love wearing that sweater, but he really liked going for walks!); it worked quite well for over a year. I'm very hopeful that some of the new preventative therapies (esp. Deslorelin) will save ferrets and their owners from having to suffer with this disease in the future.

my 3 boys are 5 years old and one of them is going adrenal, so I am sad and worried. seeing the joy of pete's life makes me feel better, 'cause I can remember to enjoy them while they are here and take lots of pictures and videos now. I still don't know how I can deal with losing them and feel for you.

@bubuktifk - Pete was adrenal for over a year but monthly Lupron shots kept him looking and feeling pretty good, and there are even better treatment and prevention methods in the pipeline- I hope one of them works for your little fuzzy!

my ferret is "getting up there" in age, and it seems like he's only been here for a short time. pete's life was full of happy play times and looks like he was very well-socialized and trouble-making and all other good traits a weasel can be :) thank you for sharing this.

@tikifeet - I'm so glad you liked it! As far as I'm concerned, he was the best pet one could ask for; any gift of joy that we gave him was returned tenfold. I'll treasure these memories for the rest of my life.
