@KTStull yeah cause you never know we pulled up one night for alarm bells at the dog pound and had heavy smoke in the building from the dryer that was on fire
@ihcffaj There are companies near me that run no lights or sirens to alarm bells and it is the dumbest thing ever. The alarm is there for a reason to signal smoke in the building and where there is smoke there is fire. Yes that is not always the case but that ONE time you go no lights/sires to an alarm and the fire is rocking you will think twice about doing that again.
@KTStull My dept is kinda the same way. We normally dispatch 4 units to a fire alarm, 2 Engines, 1 Ladder, 1 Rescue, and 1 Chief. But only the 1st dispatched unit goes hot.

@ihcffaj i gotcha, in howard county we dont run alarm bells hot but if dispatch advises us that theres smoke in the building we run hot.
