When and if Apple can put a HD camera in the ipod touch or iphone, it'll be game over for the flip and any other of those small HD cameras. Right now it's a toss up between the nano and flip. I think the ipod touch will be next in line to get the camera treatment. It'll probably get the current iphone camera, and the next 4G iphone will get a front facing camera for video conferencing as well. Doing this and not putting a camera in the ipad was done on purpose to keep all devices selling. IMHO

If you are buying JUST a camera, and you have an ipod, nano is not the way to go. You can take hdef on the flip, but not on the nano. Also, you cannot zoom at all on the nano, even the mino has a 2x zoom. Of course the flip is better, unless you don't have an ipod.

I agree - nano, being a multifunction device, is the way to go. With these lower quality cams, not much difference anyway. Very handy to shoot little quick vids. if you want better quality you'd go with a dedicated camcorder anyway. Apple rules!
