the sttuffed bear having babies. ha ha so right. hehe fuzziness. the birdy doesn't even know what it's all about, it's not like a sacred act with the bear and let's face it it IS funny. i would actually recomment snapping him out of it so he doesn't get into hormonal territorial behaviour because his body thinks he has spread the sacred bird seed (so to speak) and he has young on their way.
Laghing toward him is extremely rude and bad toward your bird's mental development. My bird does mating dance too. They are not saint. What is the problem if they do some dance. It does not hurt any one. Please do not mock or laugh at anyone.
You stopped any possiblilty of completion of the behavior you thought was going to happen by laughing at your bird and knocking himout of the zone. Nice job. Just like Darwin would have done.
My parrot does that to me sometimes! Yes, it's mating behavior, but sometimes, as in dogs, it's used to show dominance over something. In this case, I think the fuzziness of the "thing" set it off.
