  • Wow, I don't think I've ever heard Kelly sing lead. He's pretty good. RIP Kelly, you are missed.

  • I agree, Kelly has a great voice. I love their rendition of three classic ELO songs

  • @caliger617 that was me that was my grandpa i dont like these kind of songs im young not old

  • great effort for the 3, but, still no compare to ELO!

  • @lexi3570

I agree with ya Lexi! But by this time Jeff Lynne decided to ditch the band that helped make him famous - so they moved on without him. Would be nice to seem them get together again, but there's a lot of bad blood. Ya never know though!

  • Kelly's singing is like magic.

  • Kelly has the exact same outfit than 8 years earlier.... watch?v=JbPE2xXxhyc

  • I think they're getting decent results with no drums, no bass and no back vocals.

  • One of the instruments sounds out of tune. Other than that, great performance!

  • I think this is a very good performance by Kelly, Hugh and Mik. It's good to see the three members together again, its the first time I've seen Hugh since 1979 cos he left after that. I think its very good! =-D

  • WOW! This is Absolutely Fantastic! Jeff is a GREAT songwriter, But E.L.O. was a GREAT Band! Lynne, Bevan, Tandy, Groucutt, McDowell, Kaminski & Gale!

This Video is the way an Acoustic show Should be done!

  • Pathetic...!!

Those songs belong to JEFF LYNNE and nobody else...

Thoses guys where payed by Jeff Lynne like session musician, and that's what they were!!!

It's a crime to hear and see that...

  • @nosferatu49 Y'know, the whole of ELO doesn't just revolve around Jeff Lynne

  • @rorymacve Just answer that question : do you think those people were worth anything beside Jeff Lynne? He made everything : words, music, production, everything.... ELO, was Jeff Lynne's touring band... As he made Zoom alone, he could have made all the others record alone... The others were hired musician... Yes, my dear, the WHOLE ELO revolves AROUND Jeff Lynne... After his departure, the band was out, finished... Proof? What did they do after Jeff? Bad records, no single hit, nothing...

  • @nosferatu49 Not exactly bad records, I enjoy listening to my Fly Away CD by Orkestra. ELO Part II was the sour part I find because they hired in a bunch of really bad support. Yes Bev Bevan was there, but they hired in some ridiculous lead singer (not Phil Bates but he's not that good either) to replace Kelly Groucutt. With that, I agree with you because it was only the original ELO members who made the non-ELO albums. However, I still enjoy the music, singles or not.

  • @rorymacve (first part below)... And where is Jeff now? He is a LEGEND in Los Angeles... His music is still in the UK chart, almost 40 years after its creation... Jeff worked for the greatest band on this planet : The Beatles... He was the one able to produce something extraordinary from the lennon tapes... Well, ok the other guys were good buddies, fine musician, but nothing to compare with Jeff... Sad but true!! Jeff is a pure genius, Kelly was a good chap. ELO IS JEFF LYNNE, end of the story!

  • @rorymacve - It does when he wrote the fuckin' hits, son! hahaha

  • Love the host's choice of shirt. A little flamboyant for me...

  • Super job. Well found

  • ELO went out the door when they got rid of the strings. I hate to say it. But that is what made that band special. When those seven guys got together and produced a song no one could compete with them.

  • I didn't know Kelly could play a guitar with more than four strings, he does so here, and very well. I totally enjoyed this. I always thought of Kelly as bass and backing singing, this shows he was capable of so much more.

  • I like this ! Better than the Jeff Lynne songs ELO part two or Orchestra usually covered or performed.

  • EXCELLENT

  • I've never seen this before! What a completely fantastic video! Thank you so much for uploading it. A strange combination of instruments but surprisingly, it works. Kelly was so good-looking back then and his voice is amazing.

  • @Harriet123P

You're welcome Harriet! Kelly was a great guy, wasn't he? Yes, yes, yes, ELO was oh so unique! They've influenced a lot of bands since the 70s!
