@XxCoDBlackopsxX1 im in 8th grade also just letting you know military related stuff isn't a game, once you die it is over and not everyone makes it out obviously so don't join thinking your going to make it and be a hero or you are going to recieve the medal of honor or anything because if you think like that you will probaly die alot faster i know this us ranger and that is what he told me.
This is a crying shame. To give kids a military education is one thing, but to glorify these routines by giving war the impression of being something out of a movie is insane. The saddest part of this is, all these kids see are the cute rifle flips, instead of what actually happens in war.
Wtf People why do u search up this shit if ur going to be hating? stop talkin shit! it pisses me off. Dont bother clicking on the vid if ur gonna be talkin crap.
These poor brainwashed children. They're kids and they should be concentrating on enjoying their youths. People really need to understand that yes the army does help in terms of maybe attaining a greater insight in ones self worth but you can get the same thing as just being a kid. We have to be honest and admit that the military represents "WAR" and "honestly' that's something everyone would like to see abolished. This cant go on forever. Hitler did this before, let them be kids.
@vjacq88 Umm Your Wrong.??? Kids Such As Are Age Enjoy JROTC Because It Gives them an idea of what it will be like. Me, Im In NJROTC Navy. So Idk I Wish We had a Marine class. So Kids have a choice and let them choose what they want. Im getting a Scholar Ship To Have A Career Non Like You.
@TheInsaneCalateral You really don't know what the Army represents do you? Sad. Dont worry because once you got that first jolt of hot steel searing, piercing your flesh then maybe that'll change your tune. I'm all for structure but glorifying cadet activities is just another Psyop to promote more attendees to fuel this senseless war. Kind like Facebook. I applogize but sending kids to war to fuel their delusional dreams of living a true life "Halo reach" experience doesn't sit well with me.
@vjacq88 haha the steel burning through your skin thing shouldn't change anyones mind considering pain is only a feeling that will dissapear in a matter of time if you really want something you won't let that stop you.
@TheInsaneCalateral If anyone wants to throw their lives away in support of this Fake war then by all means proceed to do so but I'd rather spread the word and save a few lives.
Most public High school drill teams spin the 3 pound wimpy rifles. My drill team, Riverside Military Academy, Spins real Springfields and are undefeted for over 20 years
JROTC is more of a sneak peek at the real ROTC, it was no value if you just do JROTC and then join up. YOu would have to go through ROTC or OCS training, JROTC is a good way to get started and it looks good on an application for regular ROTC.
ROTC depends on school solely like the college, look into Navy ROTC schools for Marine Corps, JROTC can be done anywhere and it is usually done over a year or two.
rotc is college, jrotc (junior rotc) is high school and there is NO military obligation. rotc, however, there is military obligation if you go into your third year. but you don't go active or reserves till after you graduate. you can start jrotc your freshman year of high school. here in my city (we have the largest jrotc corps in the nation) we also have a leadership program which is basically jrotc in middle school. i don't know if that's a national program. i did both leadership and jrotc.
at my school theres no military obligation even doing 4 years of rotc only if you want and get approved for the scholarship its like 4 years air force
im part of the AFJROTC in arkansas i must admit big air force guy but my word your rifle team is like 100 times beter than ours. props to your commander
My grandfather along with Mjr Stewart is the person who started the MCJROTC at this school, and I must say you guys have come a long way. Congrats on your performances, however, I wish Mjr Johnston/Sgt Mjr Altizer didn't approve the music, it makes the awesome performance seem like a joke. Althought I never was in the ROTC, I joined the Corps right out of high school to honor my pops.
And yes, those rifles may be demilitarized, but they are heavy as fuck. Don't hate! REAL M14s!
Did any of you forget that they represent MARINES?! Last time I checked the Marines were the toughest in the world. They do have Marine Instructors and I'm damn sure they treat them just like Marines. Every unit I've seen is hardcore and they own everyone.
I've never heard marines being soldiers, they're not soldiers, they're warriors, and also the drill movements are part of the training, you have to act fast and work as a team, so next time, think before you say something derogatory.
Back in when i went there they gave em five bucks to be hall moniters at the basketball games and crossing gaurds at the basketball games. Go big Fn Red
how many people have they killed? did they get some kind of twisted satisfaction from it? when they are satisfied with their slaghter they can come home and beat their wives
wow, what a huge disgrace to the marine corps. whats with retarded music and stupid dance like moves? and why are they doing the same move over and over again. no marching makes it really easy especailly when you have a fake rifle. as a current active duty marine i have to say i feel embarassed that you even try to use the title of marine while doing shit like that.
Tell me something? How are you gonna criticize these young people who are setting a good example for their community, when you havent ever dont what these young ones have done before. TRUST ME those are not FAKE rifles they are definetly serialized U.S. Government M-14 7.62mm rifles. If seen them myself because i am the first person on the right line. You have no idea, none whatsoever so you need to can you Fucking mouth
Hey ass wipe they are real M-14's that weigh 9lbs I know I was on this team a few years back Ill admit the song may be out of place but who cares...and its a DRILL team not a march team...easy huh I want to see you throw a 9lb rifle over your shoulder right into a team mates hands which you can not see
"get real m-14's and get rid of the song!" that's what colonel would say right after he yelled about how stupid we would look doing whatever it is you think you're doing.
They are real M-14s and its called Drill and this school does very well and state and national competitions I know I was on this team a few years back
Sure, you can twirl a piece of plastic (a "facsimile" or FAKE rifle), but there's nothing special about that. Do it with an M-14. That's true work. That's something a Marine would do. If you want to dance to music, join the cheer squad. Leave the real work to those who can get the job done.
Honestly, it seems like you're just trying to embarrass yourself with this excuse of an armed exhibition, if you want to even call it that. I hope that you're not planning to do another performance like this, because it's a slap in the face to any Marine who has worn that uniform. This performance shows that your Drill Team has no concern for truly representing that for which the Marine Corps is known.
Wow, it really hurts to see someone in a set of blues doing a "performance" to such a crappy song. This is something that an Army ROTC here would try to pull off.
"We're not going all out hardcore traditional. This is only Junior ROTC; High School. "
So, because it's "only JROTC," you think it's okay not to give a damn about honoring Marines with a decent performance? I'm surprised your MI's let you get away with such a piece of crap.
And they are real M-14's not " facsimile piece of plastic"....I know I was on this very same schools team a few years back and my neighbors son's are on it now and I help them practice once in a while
Those are not real M14's. They are replica's that wight bout 3 pounds. Real M14's wight a good 12-14 pounds and you wouldn't be doing that shit, trust me.
M-14's weigh 1.5 lbs. The ones used by the Marine Corps Silent drill platoon weigh 1.5 lbs. If those rifles wieghed a little more than 9 pounds like you claim, they wouldn't be doing half the stuff they are doing.
First off, if you plan to wear the uniform, and represent the Corps, get a haircut. If you look crappy in your uniform, then it totally takes away from your routine. Second, try to use actual weighted, demilitarized weapons like a 15 pound M 14.. You could use the training with those. Third, if you took your routine seriously, you would've never put it to music, it totally takes away the WOW factor and shows that you just feel like fooling around and not being TRADITIONAL.
