  • Halo means high altuide low opening and there not high enougn for a true halo for that u need oxygen tanks

  • arnt you all on the same team?

  • I want this so damn bad! Got three years until HS is over.

Wrestling water polo and swim for me seems like it fits a PJ well.

  • Sup guys, who are we dissing today, uh?

  • just another day at the office.

  • you all need to grow up

  • Seen the Ice.

  • Hi Alt jumps roger.

  • low parachute opening, they open it low cause you are suppose to be going in without the enemy seeing you

  • 1200 m?

  • Crazy mothertruckers...

Yall keep it up so wussy people like me don't have to. I like to land in perfectly good aircraft, not jump out of them.

High Altitude Low Opening (HALO) = Hitting the ground like a ton of bricks.

  • For a second i though the water droplets were birds.

    I was like holy shit

  • lol me 2. I was wondering if they were gonna hit 1

  • Soooooooooooooooo badass!

  • ive been planning on joining since i was 12, so yeh, ive been preparing for this shit, im in My Highschools JROTC, and im in the Raiders (pHisical Fitness, First Aid, Land Navigation, rock climbing) im looking forward to this wen im 18

  • how old are you now?

  • Was that meant to be an insult? Dude, go grow a pair.

  • Cool video, except that is not a HALO jump. If im correct, a to count as a HALO you need to be on oxygen. I could be mistaken tho.

  • it is just saw a show on the military channel. oxygen is for those super high jumps or HAHO

  • no you are correct, a real HALO jump is around 30,000-31,000 feet, requireing an oxygen tank.

  • You are a tool. HALO is high altitude, low opening. Oxygen jumps are anything above 13,000. All squares are rectangles, not all rectangles are squares. A HALO jump does not need to be from 30K, a HALO can be from 5K. HAHO's are normally from 18-25K and involves jumping and quickly opening allowing for upto a 40 Mi offset from the target (keeping the aircraft away from danger). Do your homework before posting.

  • AWESOME!

  • Awesome.

  • you need to grow up and get a life. if I see you walking around with a beret on I'll slit your throat.

  • jon, we should slowly castrate him first then slit his throat. get more enjoyment out of it. stay safe brother.

  • Whatever you deside to do, I'd be happy to watch :D

  • Where can I buy my tickets to watch Tummysticks death?

  • @jonpj80 manchester

  • @tummysticks1 you're a disgrace. you should just do a halo jump with no gear exept for weights tied to you.

  • are the weights going to make that much of a difference?

  • @tummysticks1 FUCK YOU YOU LAZY FATASS WHORE even now when I'm not physically fit I go work out as much as possible, I want to earn this and I'll earn that Beret the right way....

  • i'm retired USAF SSGT REED, I did two branches spec ops serivce, U.S. Army ranger, and then went evolved to become a USAF Pararescueman. PJ was a much more difficult school to finish! A blessing to those who fell before, and to those will after me.. "THAT OTHERS MAY LIVE"

  • What a true silent professional.

    Haha : /

  • U.S. AIR Force buy wingsuits.

  • that last comment was directed towards curtmastor once again for the degrading comment, i have been reading books to prepare and i came across some stereotypes that about pj's

  • True jacks of all trades

  • PJ's are awesome!!! Kill ya or heal ya

  • If this is a HALO jump... why arent they arent they using any supplemental oxygent?

  • If you guys are running that slow you'll need a damn miracle to make it in any SOF unit...

  • Im not a rescue swimmer that's for sure...I just think that they are more hardcore than anyother services special ops.

  • Hey tummystick, I got respect for what you guys do, but don't go calling BUD/S easy. Especially when you've never been there! Your only showing your incompetence.

  • So are you a SEAL methodman?? That's pretty cool even though rescue swimmers training is a lot more physically and mentally demanding, but hey when you need to get the job done who do they call? RESCUE SWIMMERS OF COURSE. 9:30 is flying, I just got my mile walk time under 20 min's, pretty proud about that. Not really sure what the purpose of running is, except being out of breath.

  • the purpose of running is so you can stay fit enough to actually get there in time to RESCUE the person needed. Running involves legs, swimming involves arms and LEGS!!!!

  • No I'm not a PJ, I attended BUD/S which is the same kind of training as Pararescue. 9:30 is not an Olympic time, 6:30 to 7:00 is. I did 9:27 at 210 lbs for BUD/S. You can do it, do 1/4 mile sprints with 45 seconds rest. Focus on a long running stride and watch your time drop.

  • 9:30, isnt that like olympics? Are you a pj methodman?

  • You need to be running your 1.5 mile in 9:30 or better.

  • I'm a PJ in the DEP program for the Air Force and I took the PAST test and passed! So I beat the 90% washout rate already! I'm pretty excited for Indoc! My recruiter told me I'm not gonna have any problem because I'm the fastest runner he's ever seen. I ran one and a half miles in 10:28! That's a seven a minute pace!

  • Prefect example of a recruiting error, not to knock you, but the washout rate isn't for that. Its for the mentality of it all... at least for the army snake eaters. Wait til hell week, if they have that for the PJ's.

  • hell week would be a fuckin breeze compared to pj basic, all seals are just wanna be pararescue

  • pararescue has a hell week too....anything has a hell week depending on how you look at it...even basic training has hell week....I do love the typical this vs that that you employ...go there and do them all then compare...

  • Yeah, hope you can swim and hump a 100lb rucksack.....The best operators are the most versatile. Not the strongest, not the fastest, just good at everything. Good luck...Don't quit

  • we had a guy in my Squadron who could run a mile in like 5:47. I think he still hold the fastest 1 1/2 mile time for Air Combat Command.

  • 5:47 is slow though :P

  • bad @ss. special ops of any kind in the u.s. military is awesome. those of you b*tchin like girls about who's better than who need to squash that sh*t. who the f*ck cares.

  • Guys I've been to BUD/S, and surprise it's tough, probably the toughest single school in the DOD. But the PJ/CCT pipeline is probably the toughest overall training program, and the best training for that matter. These guys are on call for Air Force One whenever it's in the air. They don't let wimps rescue the president, and trust me if you're knocking on anyone in a Spec Program, you haven't been to one. THEY ARE ALL HARD TO KEEP PEOPLE LIKE YOU OUT.

  • I think all that matters is that all this bullshit talk about eachother is only on the surface and when the shit hits the fan that any of them would watch the others back despite what branch they're in

  • i know it's dumb to talk shit on youtube but anyone who says any special ops unit is pussy (curtmastor) needs to be slapped in the face lol, that is the dumbest shit anyone can say. And for the record pj's have rescued seals in the past.

  • You know, I talk to some PJs. They said some SEALS walk around with a stick up their a**. I love the Michael Bien, Vin Diesel, and Charlie Sheen movies about Navy SEALs. Soooo cool. Not.

  • Do you have hot adult dogs and cats, my man CURTMASTOR here loves the beastiality thing. Don't ya Curt! Sick fuck...You f**cking wannabe poser. Eat a dick ;)

  • buddy at BUD/s ill do more in 5 months than you do in your entire career. your the wannabe. serving in the most pussy spec ops unit.

  • Keep it coming Curt your sounding more legit by every word you type.

  • Caleb has been through more in a week than you will come close. 12 year old girls, you are a sick fuck!

  • You are a cocksucker curtmastor, have you even gone through BUD/S yet? I am already at the Dive course at the naval base in Panama City training as Pararescue Trainee. You don't know jack shit! You are a wannabe and you will fail. Caleb SAVES Navy SEALS you dumbass. When you guys get hurt or can't go any farther PJ's come in and save your asses. Hurry up and ring that bell dumbass.

  • next time you're at a book store pick up a book called "that others may live" flip to page 41 and look about 3/4ths the way down the page since you think pj's are pussys. it talks about the differences between seals and pj's

  • i love how Caleb tells everyone there keyboard heroes yet he seems to be spending more time on youtube than anyone here. he fuckin posts on every freakin video. holy shit bro, do the PJ ever work? do they ever get out fo their room and off their computers? good god man.

  • Yeah I never work... ever. You got me man. You're so cool... Thanks for the meaningless advice and criticism. I'll never tell anyone about that time you had with the 12 y/o girl and the large bowl of jello. Secret is safe with me buddie ;)

  • Hopefully that is my future It has been my dream ever since I was six years old im 15 now an I cant wait

  • nice vid and all.. but its not a halo jump... thats about how long i fell for .. and only jumped from 14,000 ft.. 40 sec free-fall time... about the same as the vid... plus you need O2 for halo

  • Well enlighten us all with what type of freefall jump that was then? And if a HALO needs O2, then at what altitude should you have O2 for a MILITARY freefall jump?

  • well when i jumped out a military plane strolling around 14,000 they made us wear O2 in the plane but jumped without it... and if you jump higher.. you can't hold your breath, the extreme pressure change would explode your lungs. (you can't breath falling without a mask.. your going almost 200mph)

  • You must be a civilian skydiver right? Civilians can jump from altitudes as high as 15,000 ft MSL, maybe higher, I'm not an expert at what civilian jumpers do. But I am on military freefall. We have very strict guidelines we have to follow. I have done several civilian drops and in my opinion USPA is a little more laid back on there guidelines. Just my opinion...But to finish, military jumpers have to use oxygen above 13,000 MSL and are required to prebreath O2 above 18,000, I believe.

  • no, USAF .. jumped with wings of blue in gila bend, AZ. It was a fun experience. One time thing tho... busted my ear drum on the way down =(

  • Hes right ass jack. You do typically need O2 for a HALO jump

  • actually, for most jumps you use compressed breathing air, same air you breath when scuba diving.

Just got my PADI open water dive cert and one of my instructors was a ex-PJ XD coolest dude I've ever met.

  • He did a good job staying stable with the equipment but he should not had his head looking straight down the whole time. Being aware of other jumpers before going in the cloud and before pulling is very important.

  • Ever who said it is a 97% wash out rate is wrong. It is about 90% And then they said only 20% make it through the rest of the pipeline. That is completely false. A majority of candidates who make it to the pipeline make it through. All 6 of my indoc class made it through the pipeline, and all the others who joined with us made it through except 1, due to injury.

  • Our class started with 110 and finished with 9.

  • My son graduates in about one week. It feels very good to be the father of a PJ!

  • Whats his name and what base is he at? I have been with the PJs for 5 yars now and know alot of them.

  • im hella psyched, i leave in feb. for basic. I WANT ITTTT SOOO BADDDD

  • I've seen this video before, good stuff. I'm in AFROTC at UCF, and if I don't make pilot I'm going for combat controller or PJ, we'll see. I want to join the Air Force, not the Chair Force (no offense to those who have "desk jobs").

  • You need to be on top of your game if you want to be a STO or CRO. You can't be putting it after pilot... We had one guy from my det get one of the 2 (TWO) STO slots a couple years back and he was shit hot like you wouldn't believe.

  • Good to see that the assjack instrusctors are still feeding trainees a load of horse shit...I was a cadet there about two years ago...and also being prior ative enlisted I knew better than the absolute HORSE SHIT they told me....I quit and am in the process of receiving an OTS training date through "Deserving Airman"

  • No shit? I quit there too, last semester was Fall 08. I'm going the OTS route too (hopefully) my basic ship out date is 5 Jan 10. I might know you if you were there two years ago?

And yes, I think all officers should be prior-e first.

  • I think the best officers are usually pior enlsited. They know how it works and how it can suck. Im NOT Walker.I remember your name but cant put a face to it....

Il give you a tip. Dont wait on anyone else to get you to the class, or test or whatever you need to get promoted or through OTS. They wont. Get to your education office, find out what is needed and see to it it gets done YOURSELF.

  • The AF is cutting back so many O1-3 positions. Its going to be hard to get a commission but NOT impossible.....

STICK WITH AND DONT GET DISCOURAGED. YOU ILL WANT TO....DONT

  • Thanks for the advice man. Yeah It'll be difficult getting into OTS. At least I'll have a technical degree with the help of my technical job (Client Systems under the new Cyber Command). Actually my tech school graduating class will be the first out of this new school. Without a technical degree these days, or being a lawyer, doctor, or nurse, there's an incredibly small chance of getting in.

  • Walker?

  • If I could do it all over again...

  • you know that pjs have a 97% failout rate in the first 120 days. Than only about 20 percent of those left make it through to the finish and earn the maroon beret.

  • well thats good thing ur not trying out then huh. with that mindset u definitly wont make it.

  • Hey buddy, thats just the facts. I just hate hearing everyone that thinks just cuz there GOING to apply means there as good as the ones that have made it.

PS I am 308th PARARESCUE squadron Patrick AFB, FL

  • Bull**** newyorkhc84 - you're no PJ.

And to the other guy - good luck at Indoc.

  • Yeah im not. Im actually a boring supply troop who stands around an office and does paperwork when someone needs new underwear. haha YOU caught me

  • lol

  • Hang in there. I did the same, yet ended up doing every thing from loading bombs to resupply to places I don't think even had a name. Being on a plane that forced down a Vietnamese fighter who lost radio contact as well as putting tent pegs in the ground in 20 degree below zero weather in Korea. Your service is needed, as much as the mechanic, truck driver or pilot. Your service is to be commended. Thank you.

  • Same for the raw civvies coming into the Special Forces, they think cause they got chosen for it they are in it. Wrong...

  • lol I use to live on patrick (north housing) when I was a kid.... now live in rockledge but still go there to workout. best gym in Brevard

  • Yeah especially since theyve redone it....ITs a great gym....Cant beat free either.

  • im going for that job. man i hope i pass the inductrination course. i train all the time so i hope i do well.
