So many memories, flying the demon and hydra, blowing up the empires titans and super titans, swearing at the game when they destroy the convoy i'm supposed to protect, good times
@lordloire those where the days huh? Kids these days need all those balls to wall graphic multi-million dollar games, but for us "old timers" thrilling musical score like this, unprediciable missions and a great story was all we needed.
@lordloire Or when those frigates fired enlarged photon beams at you......(I was 8 when I played this game. Cried a little on the inside everytime that happened).
This soundtrack and the soundtracks for WipEout and WipEout 2097 and most other Psygnosis games were performed by the very talented fellow Welshman Tim Wright a.k.a CoLD SToRAGE.
No music I've ever heard has better captured the majesty and horror of space combat in all its terrible grandear. From the brilliance of the laser flashes and ship explosions to the death and pain such bursts of energy inflict, I can feel and experience it all through this one amazing piece of music. Absolutely breath-taking.
this was the best colony wars game wasnt it? the 2 sequels just did not compare, the ship design in vengence looked like shit and i never played red sun but my main memories are from the first one as a kid, the graphics amazing on ps1, indepth storyline, how u could find out info on the ships etc..best game ever on PSX, one of the best, a classic i need to buy it again
Lost my old original copy of this game a few years ago, i had it since 1997, but i grabbed myself a fresh copy on ebay. Its worth a million times more than what i bought it for. This and G-police are amongst my favourite games ever made. Nostalgia!

Remember when I was a kid and played this game, I'd sit on the first stage and leave the one random fighter alive just to listen to this track.

@kynriv101 I'd play the training mission over and over just to keep hearing it.

I would let my ship hover during the tutorial stage in the background just so I can listen to this track. Beautiful.
