I wrked @ the Alamo for 4 years. Never saw anything even when I worked there 1 time til 10 p.m. BUT!!! too many of my coworkers got lucky & saw & heard 'things', esp. security who work overnite. 1 time, tho, 2 of my gal buds took a polaroid in front of the alamo. When it developed there was this misty figure between 'em w/ a little mist on 1 of my bud's shoulders. Almost as if 'the mist' was a person standing between 'em & the little mist was its hand resting on her shoulder!! Spooooky!!

We caught a little shadow when we were taking a footage of the Barracks. It was creepy. It was just a plain old black shadow that was in the corner of the picture.

I worked at the Alamo at the Gift Shop. When I would sit in my office, the cabinet doors would just fly open. Also you are right, there is no basement per say, but under the gift shop we had the employee area and the tunnel that went to the elevator shaft for sending packages up to the street level to be picked up by UPS. Many people saw things out of the corner of their eye in that tunnel.

00Roberti00: Response to your question: Closing the "Long Barracks" late one evening while locking up the north doors I distnctly heard a voice say "It's too late. Their on us". I had already closed and locked the south door and walked back thru the barracks thinking I had missed a tourist somewhere. And you got it. Nobody in the barracks but little old me. Not saying it was a "ghost". Just that the incident happened. I do not have an explanation. It is what it is. No more, no less.

Ok. I was a Alamo Ranger for three years. Day and night shifts. Saw a lot and heard a lot. Had access to all buildings (chapel,barracks) after hours. Walked thru the Chapel and barracks at all hours. Only one (1) unexplained incident happened with me.

Ann Ragsdale has a book about the women and children of the Alamo that supports the ghost activity in the basement of the Alamo. Yes, not like what is said in Pee Wees big adventure, THERE IS A BASEMENT, ACTUALLY TWO OF THE BUILDINGS HAVE BASEMENTS.

Who did this production? Its spirits, not spirts. Docia Williams and the others are all reliable information but if they would have contacted Vince Phillips or Martin Leal of Alamo City Paranormal then the show would have been about all of the ghosts at the Alamo and not about surrounding locations.
