I just did it; took 9 minutes and 52 seconds with a worgen hunter. Massad on Lightbringer. The hardest part is trying to stay alive and keep your pet alive during bonestorm. But I never got spiked.

Very nice, and to clear up questions about spikes, they do not spike the highest PLAYER aggro. From what I remember in the Marrowgar fight in Wrath a hunter's pet was never spiked.

@lamborghinicool @1234pantsonthefloor You are wrong., The hunter is not affected by bone spikes because bone spikes never target the tank. So tank isnt affected by bone spikes. Pet doesnt count as a player so to the npc, the hunter is the tank and therefore its not bone spiked

hes a goblin he does not tank (his pet has aggro) so normally he would get spiked but i think there was a bug that goblins and worgen dont get spiked..

misdirection on it, and full dps, feign death for reset your aggro.

and then go on with misdirection when its ready

Worgen / Goblin are bugged for Bonespike. This makes it such a fecking easy fight for them, basically a tank n nuke. If you want to do it as any other race, check out my video, it says in the description how to avoid Bonespike.

If you wanna solo this as any other hunter you must use distracting shot when he is casting bone spike. That way you will have aggro and of course won't get spiked.

so 12k dps required with a turtle pet & 2pc T5 sounds hard to achieve, do you have the armory or can you tell us what type of gear you were wearing?

Hm, tried this myself but only got him to 12% (was unbuffed though).

With a ~15-20% SV nerf incoming, and most likely a hotfix to Worgen and Goblins having it easier here, it'll probably only be possible with really good raid gear after patch 4.0.6 =P

@Gordushi it's very simple a turtle has a nice 3 way hp gain/heal type tree.... they get hp from growling.... hp from mend pet... increases to all heals through pet talents and the can also get a ability in their tree similar to that of last stand

My theory at the moment is that goblins or worgens cant get hit by the bonespike, hop on the elitistjerks-forum to see if there are more goblins/worgens that can confirm that.

@1234pantsonthefloor No, the idea is that for Marrowgar top 2 threat (pet and you) cannot be impales because in a normal raid situation that would be the MT & the OT and if anyone remembers, the MT & OT never get impaled. It is anyone in position 3 or lower for threat.

If you ever have trouble with keeping your pet alive, just use the 2set t5(heal your pet for 15% of all the dmg you do) your pet cant die with that.

Gratz on the Kill. Ive been Solo'ing some of the WoLK bosses as well, have a few Vids up.. I never thought about doing Marrowgar tho, thought he would still use his Spike ability.. But from your video, he never used it once. Guess I should give it a shot also.
