Type 2 diabetes doesn't go away with diet and exercise in every person. That is a misconception that type 1 diabetics and educators have. I have been type 2 diabetic for over 20 yrs and my c-peptide is 0.4 on a scale of 0.9-7.1 so you can see even with diet and excerise without enough insulin I am in the same boat as type 1. I was taking 5-6 injections aday and fought to get a pump for over 3 yrs. Being on a pump has changed my life with the freedom it allows. Great video though :-)
Very nice video you put up. You should be proud of yourself for not giving up. I have been a type one since 1989 and yah I feel that whole everyday thing too like so many others. Type one is so serious that a cure cannot come soon enough. I thank god for pumps..they are great and I have had mine for 6 years! Minimed rocks! There are too many kids getting hit with type one. Enough is enough. Thanks for posting the video...it was very well done!
Just wanted to mention that type one isn't easy to control for all of us particuarly us women!! My carbohydrate to insulin ratio shifts throughout the month, changes over the day (with the morning hormone rush), is affected by stress and (appearently the weather lol). Also after 23 years my hypo and hyper warning signs are not so good-so hun bear in mind that despite best efforts some of us can't help but struggle-but struggle we must cuz life is amazing!!
My friend has diabetes but sumtimez i really dont think she has it!..Cuz 4 her prickin her finger is normal..she has fun!..N she sed this disease makes her special around every1 ..so u have 2 b too..u faint alot b'cuz u dont control diabetes very well!..i kno its hrd !..but ya have 2 ! : )
Fantastic video! I want to thank you for having joined TuDiabetes and encourage you to keep on fighting courageously the way you do every day, to keep it up in spite of the obstacles.
