@LenntBear well i can give a rough explanation. first you should know that we move by using our muscles and to move these muscles "messages" or somewhat "commands" are sent to the brain by means of very very small electrical charges. Basically they imitated the "command" for muscle twitching by sending accurate electrical charges in the correct area.

basically this is the reason why any body part that gets electrocuted twitches, well unless you die beforehand lol.
