  • how many reps do you do and how often do you do it

  • @Ch33ky360 I try to get somewhere between 15-25 reps. And I do it about once a week. Usually whatever it takes to totally exhaust your chest muscles. Take care

  • @HighJumpMaster1 How many sets an reps do you do an It works biceps and triceps too? awesome!

  • @lordvoldemort578 I usually do it after the last set of chest to totally exhaust the chest muscles. I would say 15-25 reps. If you are getting a lot more than that you should probably get one more sets of your last chest exercise in. Take care

  • @HighJumpMaster1 Can I do these between bench press sets? or bad Idea?

  • @lordvoldemort578 I would suggest if you do anything between sets, do regular push ups not these. These seem to work best for me at the end of my chest workout as sort of a way to shock the chest muscles.

  • @HighJumpMaster1 Perfect, I will check back for more questions thanks!

  • @HighJumpMaster1 how many set

  • @R3dTigerM40A3 Do it one set at the end of your chest workout. You should be pretty much ready to leave the gym if you get enough reps in. Take care

  • @HighJumpMaster1 9 rep?

  • @R3dTigerM40A3 I usually try to get around 20-30. I feel if I get anymore than that I'm not working my chest as hard as I should. Take care

  • @HighJumpMaster1 alright man, thanks!

  • @MrTyproks 6"5

  • sir, do you have a weight lifting video? i need help with chest.

  • @dav1dwi1s0n No weightlifting videos, but i will try to get some of my exercises on here. take care

  • @HighJumpMaster1 thank you sir! :)

  • well how long were you doing these to increase your bench press 40 pounds?

  • @tntcinematics In all probably 6-8 months. I think what happens is that this exercise when done to failure it stimulates the muscle and then with a good amount of protein and rest causes the muscle to rebuild stronger. Before I was doing these my muscles would ache for like up to 2 days after chest workout. Now when I do this right, my chest muscles hurt for up to 4-5 days. Take care

  • @HighJumpMaster1 it looks stupid... lol that mus tbe why it works

  • @TheRogueMonk Exactly. People get so used 2 doing exercises that they have been told that give them the best results for 100's of years. Then new exercises come out everyday that get much better results. I started doing this exercise because it was a short power move that resembled a jumping exercise I do. Now I do new types of exercises that keep my 1 rep bench around 300 lbs even though I don't really do that many chest exercises anymore due to my high jump training.

  • @HighJumpMaster1 man i do aikido and aikido is the youngest of its generation tree.. however check this science out.. the master who created aikido out of daito ruy aikijujutsu which is older... HE ACTUALLY MADE AIKIDO not more compliceated.. he based aikido on the basic basic techniques.. and guess what he emphesized more on the internal metnal deelopement .. but because we train only basic techniques we have so few techniques that people start paying attention to their inner issues..

  • @HighJumpMaster1 my point is in my experience in almost anything.. it comes down to basics and back to basics.. and calistetic however its written . workouts are basics .. they are the mothers§! mothas of workouts in some ways.

the prob is if you can do too many reps its not heavy enough for you and you wont build muscle you will acutaly have smaller in my opinion

i will probably have always trouble choosing which i should do ... cause they are such great rival workouts to weights and machines

  • @HighJumpMaster1 there is somthing about my body atelast that if i do high reps my body seems to think it does not need to add muscle it just needs to be efficient and actually avoids adding weight to me.. maybe my body knows it has tobe light for me to cary myself.. so i am not sure if i got htis right if its true or not... but i tend to avoid getting to ohigh reps.. like not over 20 something .. atleast not "pr sitting"

  • @HighJumpMaster1 since you have payed tribute to my science quote quote... i will leave you with a great advice.. any time setts and reps dont work for you .. train on instinct listen to your body and remember it..i dont ocunt sets nor do i count reps .. i just try to get a reaction out of my body .. i dont even think about weights other then i know well this is this weight finished with it.. i got way better results but hey! its me man.. test and try

  • @TheRogueMonk I will give it a try. Take care

  • @HighJumpMaster1 you 2 .. i will suscribe

  • how many do you do when you do this???

  • @leo11727 I pretty much try to get at least 10-15. Some have said they got between 15-25. If you get too many more than that many do a few drop sets to get to the point where your chest feels that after doing this there is no way you can do anymore push ups. Take care

  • hey man, i read in the description that u were going 2 post a calf workout video "soon". This video is a year old so im just wondering when are u going 2 post it? Im asking cuz i have got 2 do something about my skinny calves! lol

  • @CommandoCrump I will get it up as soon. I was doing a lot of calf work to prepare for my track meets and then when the season ended in the end of July I took a rest from a lot of exercises. In the next few weeks I plan on starting it back up and getting a few videos up right after that. Take care

  • hello what protien do you take, and what foods do you eat to get below 10% body fat. and when you do the push ups are your hands like spread apart or are they close like dimond push ups...thank you for your time

  • @cadet1232 I use Muscle Milk Protein because it mixes pretty good and doesn't have that thickness that a lot of others do. I would suggest probably the vanilla since the chocolate upsets my stomach. Hands are a little further out than shoulder for more stability. Even though I like breads and cheeses very much, I saw big big differences when I cut out breads. Also if you eat any late in the evening meals stay away from foods that will sit in your stomach overnight and not get burned.

  • oh yeah i've heard of these. will do. thanks man.

  • i've heard that doing push ups in between bench press sets improves your bench press, would doing this style of push ups in between my sets be better or should i do it seperately either before or after i bench or on a whole different day? thank you.

  • @munnay2693 I have tried it both ways and I feel that if you do these they should be done at the end. I feel both ways work but when you do pushups btwn you seem to tire out quicker therefore making your last few sets of bench press make you feel like you are weaker due to the less u will be able to do. I usually do these as a finisher and the last thing I do for chest. Take care

  • Cool concept!

  • i jut id that 20 times and its har as hell

  • Hey man, can you show us your vertical program as well? :)

  • @AeonMelvsStar yea!!

  • darn you are 42

  • Just wondering, about how many reps do you do or just do them til failure? And good tip by the way...

  • @destroyer4570 Hello, I usually try to get between 20-30 for about 4-6 sets. The last set I try to go to failure if possible. Be careful that on the last set your arms don't give out with your face moving towards the ground. Take care

  • @HighJumpMaster1 Whats your 40 yard dash and what are the things that you did to get there I heard Plyometrics are really helpful combined with deadlifts. But I would like to know what you did.Oh and you have a video where you did i different type of push ups and your bench press went up 40 pounds But how long did you do it and what did you eat?

    Im an easy gainer.

  • @lordvoldemort578 I haven't really timed my 40 time in years but I was timed around 4.7 a few years back. I have mostly done plyos and when I do deadlifts I really don't go too heavy, just enough to get a little sore the next day. Do those push ups at the end of your chest workout and do them til almost failure and you should see results in as little as 2-3 weeks. Eat smaller meals 5-7 throughout the day and drink a good protein shake within 45 mins after your workout.

  • @lordvoldemort578 Also my last meal of the day and when I first get up in the morning, my first and last meals are a good protein shake. Take care

  • how many a week?

  • @timburkholder1 Twice a week

  • How many of those push ups do you

  • @PullUpsNation Hello, I usually try to get between 20-30 for about 4-6 sets.

  • What vertical program were you doing?

  • @freejumptraining I followed a lot of the plyo workouts here on Youtube of high jumpers and took pieces of different workouts and put them together. I have had a lot of knee problems in the past so I pretty much can't do the heavy dead lifts or squats a lot of the programs say. I feel like I got the most out of doing squats with about 90-100 lbs and doing 10 quick reps of 10 sets 1 minute btwn (normally squat abt 275). Also running up stairs quickwith high knees seemed to help. take care

  • @freejumptraining Also alot of the high jumping hip flexor strengthening exercises helped too

  • I do chest once a week. For chest I do like 3-4 sets of 8 reps of Bench Press. 3-4 sets of 8 reps of incline bench press. And 4-5 sets of cable crossovers very slowly. And I finish up with these push ups. If your chest is already burning pretty good then do as many of these as you can do and finish it off with regular push-ups until you can do no more. Hope this helps. Try to take no more than 2 minutes in between sets. Take care

  • And it seems like you are a collegiate or used to be or are very active in ballin...sooo yeah...lol

  • Let me explain further...how DO you do it in your routine because Im sure you do other things...for me I do p90x and supplemental workouts, which is why I am asking...

  • Your chest is ideal...how often do you practice them and how do YOU do it?

  • Thank You. More videos are coming soon. Be sure to check back. 8-)

  • And nice chest too!!!!!!

  • Beautiful!!!!!
