Im deaf. I love being deaf...I enjoy vaccuuming my house I dont hear it LOL sometimes my husband tells me to shut it down cuz of something gets caught. I want a deaf cat.
Well, there are some advantages to her being deaf now. For example, she doesn't freak out any more when the fire alarm is set off by smoke from the stove, lol
That's hysterical! I have a deaf cat, too, but unfortunately, she's not the one I'd like to vacuum. The other hearing cat has long white hair, and runs away the minute she sees the vacuum!
What a really gorgeous cat yours is! And a lucky one, too, to have such a great family! :)
Great story about how Cindy came to live with you. My cat Feo (spanish for ugly) is a short hair tortie with a blaze face...got her from a friend of a friend who said she was a long hair male tuxedo. (Not even close) She was so ugly as a kitten, I named her Feo. She is 5 years old now, and is really cute.....in her own way!
Yes, that's what I found out. Any cat can be considered a Tuxedo as long as they're black with some white, and the positioning of the white makes it look like they're wearing a tuxedo. Like good ole Sylvester the cat from Bugs Bunny.
It's just old age. She's 16. Same as happens with people, I guess. At least it doesn't bother her any more when we open the oven door and the fire alarm goes off.
Yeah it's so hard when it comes time to say goodbye. I had to let my little Calico, Amy, go in August. I'm still trying to cope with her loss, its been devastating. Doctor said she thought her to be about 18. I adopted her in January 1996. She looked like a kitten till the very end. God how I miss her.
Haha deaf cats are so chill!

I can't wait until my cat gets old enough for me to vacuum her! lol {She is going to be a year old in a few months}
TonyJ017 3 years ago
Well, maybe you should start her now, a little at a time. Then in a few months, she may love it and you could do it all the time!
GeraldBoyClassical 3 years ago
hahaha she puffed up near the end.
my cat does that all the time.

Yeah, I vacuum Cindy regularly now, it's great! It's bad enough her having *some* white fur, I can't imagine a whole cat like that. Yikes! lol

By the way - did you see my video "Is Your Cat This Spoiled?". You'll probably be able to relate to that one too, lol.

I've never heard of the breed "tuxedo", I'll have to look it up. The things you learn on YouTube!
GeraldBoyClassical 4 years ago
I don't think it's regarded as a breed, but rather just a specific type of coloring.

Lucky lucky cat. BTW, why did she go deaf?
Both my cats are rescued - 1 from the shelter and one from abusive owners. BOTH are suuuuper cats!

From the noise of a vacuum cleaner?
rcaston19 4 years ago
lol nah, she was never close enough to it - took off like a bat out of hell whenever the vacuum came around! just old age.

One of the nice things about youtube is seeing videos like this. We got all of cats from the local shelter as well. Thanks for posting this.

Yeah. I know purebred cats can be wonderful too, but there's nothing like the feeling you get from knowing you've rescued an animal.
GeraldBoyClassical 4 years ago
That cat has a great home. And she knows it.
