  • Needs a Q......

  • Is Minooka a full time department?

  • @futurecfd68 It's a combination of Full Time, Part time and Volunteers

  • oh no Q i saw it on the truck

  • Weak siren

  • GET A Q ON THAT

  • Now that is a damn good lookin engine..

  • i live in minooka

  • Not too often the camera picks up the Opticom strobe!

  • Where's it at? All i'm seein are LED's..

  • @bullzisnipr3 In the centre of the lightbar surounded by black housing

  • Ah, yep, see it. I was too distracted the first time haha.

  • awesome video

  • You gotta put a Q on that.

  • there is one?

  • There is one! Center of the bumper...

  • there i a Q on it haha

  • I am really liking that Pierce Engine!

  • Thats gotta be the worst sounding siren for a fire truck.

  • no it is not

  • Nice Engine

  • jfmb where i work the driver is in charge of the siren, and xsax in the local area departments hav a numbering system to identify them, the first 1 or 2 digits identify the department, minooka is 13s obviously, the second number is the station number and the last digit is the type of equiptment, 1 2 3 are engines 4 5 are ambulances 6 is a squad or heavy rescue 7 tanker 8 brush unit 9 ladder trucks

  • yep, correct, except that 8 can be used for "alternative" units as well. for an example, in Westmont (MABAS 10) their command unit is 1888. I have also seen 8 used for pick up trucks, fire prevention vans, things like that

  • campbell ur gayyyyyyy hahahahaha!!!

  • around here, its station number followed by id, 0 is field pieces, we us 4, 5, 6, for eninges, 1, 2, 3, for rescues, 7 for ladders of just make it ladder (station)

    12-6 Rescue Pumper

    12-5 Engine

    12-7 Ladder 12

    6-6 Rescue Pumper

    6-7 Quint

    3-4 Engine

    3-6 Resuce Pumper

    12-8-B Duty Officer

Thats how New Castle County, DE does it.

  • for christ sake somebody hit the q

  • hahah THANK YOU!

  • why is it engine 1312, why not 1 or something?

  • ok number 1) the driver is not in charge of the siren. 2) if you have a q use it. works very well and is much loader then a eletronic.

  • plus people know its a fire truck when they hear a q

  • nice truck

  • hey didnt u guys have explorers go to explorer-cadet fire college

  • why does everyone care so much if and when they use their q siren, how bout when your driving you can use the siren however you want

  • all of are trucks just use the q except the ladder truck which uses a powercall and a q

  • real fire trucks dont use powercalls

  • Didn't know there were any powercalls here in illinois.

  • no use in having a q if your not gonna use it. its useless as a intersection clearer. it only sounds great when its used constantly, allowing it to go up and down

  • ok from my point of view since i go to minooka almost everyday the fire dept their is way too big they have like 20 trucks a little over board considering the size of minooka

  • if you can count they have 20 trucks..i will give you 20 bucks

  • where do you get 20 from??

  • Comment removed

  • Geeze, ask them to get a better electric siren. Like a PA300 or something

  • tell you what..how about you order the one you like & have it drop-shipped to the firehouse..i will see if i can get it

    "installed" for you! LOL

  • @7089540230 damn its the camera lol

  • @MetalSanke that is a PA300.

  • The Q's in the center of the front bumper. But like most departments today it's been downgraded to a secondary siren just for clearing intersections. In fact I've seen many rigs where the Q is controlled only by the driver.

  • Our 2006 Pierce Enforcer has no pedals for the Q siren, its contolled by the driver using the horn button on the steering wheel.

But every time they go out, they go out loud and proud with the Q, I don't think I've ever heard the electric siren used on that truck.

  • nice rig!! where's the q?
