  • See he been fixed that xbox but he never reseted it...you need to heat it up for the xbox to reset so the xbox can acknowledge that its fixed

  • Ok i had same problem i fixed it take xbox apart take fan out but keep it pluged in when xbox turns on let fan spin then stop blades let your guide come up then let fans spin again tada!!!

  • sell your xbox dude

  • me same...

  • i got the same problem

  • it's such bullshit that gamestop doesn't take it if it has this issue.

  • Was ur xbox like flashed or something or did u never update it?

  • yeh uh i play xbox for about 5 minutes and then my it shuts down and has to rings, any way to easily fix this?

  • So what is your favorite book ?

  • dude check out my video on this, i have the same problem

  • it's overheating thats why the fans were so loud

  • I had 2 red rings and now i've got 3 red rings. What should i do?

  • well first you got your xbox on top of the other... your retarded

  • i CAN FIX UR PROBLEM RESPOND BACK

  • @XxCHIR0NYXxX

    how?

  • My xbox has 2 red rings on the right side (standing upright). What does this mean....

  • my xbox keeps getting two red rings go away then i play with my freinds then it comes back about 10 minutes later and its annoying and i thought that it was overheated then i turned it off for a day then i got and hour of playing then did it again just like his.

  • how dusti was your 360 when you opened it up did you clean out the cpu and gpu of dust that could have collected over the years? mine was 2 years old when it started to overheat so i cleaned all the dust and its been fine so far

  • You need more pressure on the heat sinks. Use 2-3 sheets of cardboard.

  • this has happened to me every 15 minites or soo and i need help

  • 2 red rings means it's over heated.

  • You get 3/4 of a ring or 2/4 of a ring or one ring not 3rings.

  • the xbox is sensing your heat sinks are there so it starts but the heatsinks arnt working

  • im pretty glad your paper trick didnt work. you do know that it gets REALLY REALLY hot inside the xbox? your xbox your room and your house would of burnt down if it did work. dangerous man.

  • Same thing happends to me.

  • What was the noise I heard right before the 2 lights?

  • @snake88usa its the fan going really really fast than normal..

  • I have the same problem. I don't understand why, it's brand new.

  • Trust me..your xbox is going to get the rings again in a a week or two, if you overheated it right off the beginning it will fix it self

  • The fucking xbox is not over heated take an air pump and pump air in2 all the holes in the xbox that should fix it

  • When it overheats it gets two red rings but mine is the same! It does it for no reason! And some games I play for hours and others five minutes. But if I don't put in a game it will stay on for evar! I don't get it!

  • so stupid how the xbox messes up so much

  • why the hel ws it so loud?

  • I have the same fucking problem it keeps overheating fuck!

  • you need 32 washers 2 on both sides of mother borad first you need to heat the borad up where the GPU and CPU is leave it to cool then put it back together and try it then

  • the problem is 100 percent heat, if you havent done so already blow out all the dust out of heat sync and box, if the heat sync/ themal paste thing did not work the only other thing i can think of is try and add fan to heat sync or put 360 parts in a pc case with good cooling+heat sync fans

  • Overheated today i was playing mw2 and in the middel of the game it giving 2 red rings to warm i cooled it in de the snow turn it on and it helped 4 1 hour then it hapend again send it up for free

  • You should of just sent it in to xbox, they would of did it for free and you would of got your Xbox fix FOR FREE AND SAVE YOU TIME AND MONEY

  • easy to fix take apart xbox get a hair dryer on hot setting and heat up chips and curcit board around the fans i got mine very hot it worked then towel trick..

  • I had the same thing. I did the x-clamp fix but I couldn't do the overheat procedure because when I tried to turn it back on the fans shut off and 2 red lights came on within 20 seconds. I was so tired of this shit!!!!!! I put it in the oven for 5 minutes at 350 degrees and that shit worked. There must be a better way but that worked for me.

  • my x box 360 got red ring a day A GO AND I GOT A ELEIT

  • i have two elites

    and five red rings

  • I fixed mine i stripped it down to the motherboard stuck it in the oven at 350 for 10 minutes it remenlted all the soder and heatsink and it works

  • ! IT MESSED UP MINE!

  • I don't no wat to do

  • the heat syncs are making it heat up REALLY fast u need to get rid of them and try something else

  • this happened to mine too fuck !!!!!

  • yeahh cheers dude same happened to mine

  • The same thing is happening to my 360 so i am trying to fix it.

  • I was just wondering if you ever figured out this problem since i had the same issue? Had 3 red rings then took it apart . Then got 2 red rings and now I have 3 red rings again....

  • i tried doing a few things to my 360 but now im back to the 3 red rings so im going try a bunch of diff things and post a new vid in a couple of weeks

  • Yea I guess I'll do the same. If I figure anything out I'll let you know.

  • @Italian5man you can buy a ps3 (not as fun,but still awesome)

or you can try the towel trick for 1 or 2 or 3 days

  • @Italian5man Hardware failure. Buy the S Console.

  • you know what dude, i also encountered this problem with my xbox...worked through different methods and i come with with a soloution for you....GET $299 AND BUY A NEW ONE!!!!! ot works great it fixed my problem it should work for you too:D

  • i already bought a new one i just want to fix my old 360 so i can sell it

  • I know how to fix it.

    1. Watercool your 360, CPU and GPU

    2. Could be a problem with the RAM

  • where do i buy one and how much are they?

  • @NinjaOnFireee WRONG

  • Sounds like a freaking hairdryer

  • call "For my Xbox"

  • 1-800-4my-xbox (63-9269)

  • at last i find sum1 who knows what he is talking bout , i did the same when i got 2 red rings from trying 2 fix the heat sinks with pennys.

  • take it apart till it just the bot thing take the drive out and the white and stick it in the freezer for like a have an hour o and make sure when u start it up again make u have a game in there or else it will shut off o and make sure your xbox does the 2 ring thing before u put it in the freezer : ]

  • alright bro. i dont have the answer but ive been working on it for hours. what i tried doing was opening up the xbox and clean out all of the dust on it. that didnt work for me. so i what i also tried doing is taking ispropyl alcohol and wiping the gpu and cpu clean and i put more thermal grease on. that didnt work either. but what i havent tried yet is laying the xbox fans over the cpu to keep it cool while the heat bonds with gpu. hope this helps. cheers =]

  • u can tell by the fan noise the heat sink is too far to the motherboard try putin 1 plastic washers with ur xclamp the right way it might work....

  • There's only 1 light on the console itself so it's only 2 red lights ;)

  • what?

  • Sorry. I mean only 1 ring on the console itself.
