@kimlene05 Mandatory spending is already more than revenue collected so renewing tax cuts which require even more money to be borrowed to cover them does not make sense. Also when federal cuts spending they cut funding to states and states have to raise taxes to cover the loss in funding from federal and it winds up costing taxpayers more because states can not spread the cost over anywhere near the number of taxpayers that federal can, dramatic increase in state gov and taxes

@dkkght46 I do not think the supreme court will rule against the insurance mandates, if they did they would also have to rule against states mandating auto insurance as well as many other things. Ruling against the health insurance mandates will open up a whole new can of worms that would have major repercussion in more than just insurance. To date every judge has ruled the mandates to be constitutional. And there are cases now being filed to fight to keep the mandates.

From 1960 on there has been a shift of the tax burden from top income onto 80% of lower income americans, the result has been a dramatic increase in income for top income while all other income have seen almost NO real increase in comparison. This is not sustainable.

@kimlene05 Mandatory spending is already more than revenue collected so renewing tax cuts which require even more money to be borrowed to cover them does not make sense. Also when federal cuts spending they cut funding to states and states have to raise taxes to cover the loss in funding from federal and it winds up costing taxpayers more because states can not spread the cost over anywhere near the number of taxpayers that federal can, dramatic increase in state gov and taxes

@dkkght46 I do not think the supreme court will rule against the insurance mandates, if they did they would also have to rule against states mandating auto insurance as well as many other things. Ruling against the health insurance mandates will open up a whole new can of worms that would have major repercussion in more than just insurance. To date every judge has ruled the mandates to be constitutional. And there are cases now being filed to fight to keep the mandates.

Prior to WW2 the wealthiest americans paid almost all taxes and most working americans paid almost no taxes, to finance the war taxes were raised on all americans but on 80% of working americans taxes were still low. From 1960 on there has been a shift of the tax burden from top income onto 80% of lower income americans, the result has been a dramatic increase in income for top income while all other income have seen almost NO real increase in comparison. This is not sustainable.

@dkkght46 And then you are not taking into account all those that are grateful to have thier unemployment extended another 13 months. The few that did not listen when Obama and the dems clearly stated that if voters voted GOP into majority they would have to renew top income tax cuts will easily be replaced by those that appreciate the unemployment. There are some that were GOP that are now mad because the GOP used that as a blackmail weapon so I would not count your chickens to soon.

10 straight months of private industry job growth, fair pay for women passed, more insurance coverage for children, badly needed consumer protections passed, wallstreet reform to stop bailouts passed, no more pre-existing conditions or cancellations of policies from insurance companies, finally expansions in green energy and improvements in education and infrastructure, shall I go on , I CAN ON AND ON AND ON.

As a matter of fact one of Obama's great successes kicked in today. As of today insurance companies have to spend 80% on your healthcare OR they have write you a refund check or drop your premiums to a lower cost.. They can no longer spend 50% of what you pay them on fancy vacations, huge bonuses to ceo's to figure out new ways to get out of paying, etc etc .

Obama has done an amazing job considering what he has had to deal with. Anyone how actually checks facts, compares history, etc. would know that. 10 straight months of private industry job growth, manufacturing increases instead of losses for the first time in years. regs to limit predatory practices of mega corps that have been ripping off the people. tax cuts for 94.6% of working Americans. etc etc etc etc .

@dkkght46 The luxury of the rich is to be considered tributary to the public treasury as much as is practicable in order not to burden the masses of the poorer into oppression for fear of revolt. Corporate facism is created thru tax cuts for top income and laws that favor mega corps. Corparate facism is when a small % of private industries become so large and powerful that they take over and control the government and use the government to regulate every aspect of our lives.

@dkkght46 The only reason Obama is catching so much flak is BECAUSE he did not roll over, I am afraid Hillary would, the same as Bill Clinton did. Compromises are not what the corporatists want, they want total subjugation, Obama is only willing to compromise, so they want him out. Media panders to their main advertisers which are wallstreet, insurance, oil.. And the middle income will pay for the tax cuts for top income if they get passed one way or the other.

@barsense Onetermer and his admin are curtailing private-sector growth. Tax increases proposed by the WH as well as an uncertain regulatory environment brought about by massive reforms to the healthcare sector and Wall Street.
Onetermer argues the tax incentives in the Senate small-business package would help businesses grow by allowing them to access credit to open a new location, buy new equipment and hire more workers. Have you seen this anywhere?

I am not union and the tax cuts that Obama passed have helped me and many other American small businesses expand and hire, that is why we have had 10 straight months of private industry job growth and it has NOT been union. You need to look up on what corps really paid. Like GM, Exxon LMAO. 0% to the IRS. after deductions we pay less than most countries. You know nothing about it obviously.
