@EazZiB You have to "embark" them on one of your vessels at a military port, the transport that ship to another nations port (If it is not the country you wish to invade ask for 'Right of Passage' in Diplomacy screen) than (if no vessels are in the port you are at. you can "un-embark" them into that port for you invasion, or passage. I myself am conquering France with Britain. As the Brits always good to have strong navy and army: )
Not really. Imperial Glory had way better management and diplomacy. Its failing was in battles. The lack of morale in battle made every battle feel samey and boring quickly. Thats probably the only thing Empire and Napoleon got right.
U must peacfully annex countries then attack the main powers with a ton of malita and calary in the first era once the secoun d era come form alot of colalistions againts the main powers thats how u win ive betean this game with every nation
Great game! Although it gets far too easy - even on hard mode - once you master every aspect of it. Total victory will usually be yours by 1825 or so. It's a shame that IG grew now old enough, and people lost interest in making good mods. I'd so LOVE to be able to play minor states...

You need to build wine farms and a cookie factory. Make sure you're workers are also getting food. They need saucages and some soup. After, this begin raising your gold and put the first people in to the nearby build town. Start extracting wood en stone and pitch! Most important, survive the enemy when are coming to your lands. You don't have units yet. but your people are mostwilling to fight for you. Don't be afraid to ask them for help! With this you will be a pro!!!!
my stategy...peace until make an army who can kill all the half at least world... but you need economy... first if you need nessesary money stop giving gold to the scools for one turn or more... then conqeur the other small countries with peace so more land more money... and of course incrise your trade routs with trade ships
well actually building up good economy main thing is ur mechant shipyard and ur economic research. u have several economic route to trade.but this game especially playing at hard level require u to build up ur armies real fast for defense purpose. overall it is quite a ez game. i completed the game with france. playing russia is tough
build a merchant harbor and then go to the trading view then click the the area you built the merchant harbour build a ship wait a couple of turns then drag that ship to another port thats go a green ring around it
Hey man, I know my comment is a bit late but I think I downloaded the right mod (so you can play othersides in IG), but I can't understand the readme, its all about opening folders that I don't even have, could you perhaps help me, thanks.
I love this game, the music is so beautiful and after all these years its stuck in my head. Also it did a few things better than TW, campaign map for one: alliances meant something, and the way alliances were made it was like a powder keg waiting to explode. Touche, nano. I'm tired of all these TW fans raining on our parade. IG set a bench mark over 4 years ago and hasn't been met until recently, as other game studios are just now catching on to its success. No duh it's not like ETW, 'cause it's far older and TW improved upon its design. But you have to give IG credit and appreciation for its time. Amazing gfx, sfx, and gameplay for its time.

Yeah; IG is kinda too easy if your the attacker. as I say, I make a point of only declaring war on someone if theyve betrayed one of my allies or commited an act of espionage agaiinst me; they all do at some time or other so though it takes until like 1860 to finish the game, it really is more rewarding as you get to use your elite units to their full effect, as opposed to finisheing early where you barely get to research them.

I play with Saxony but only declare war on someone if theyve pushed me to it; I do not open fire on peaceful countries, instead I ally them and allow them to build their empire. I inevitably have a massive army cos Prussia and austria always declare war on saxony at beginning anyway so i just take silesia and Bohemia and call it quits. I never ask for peace either. yeah, its slow, but its ultimatly the more rewarding way of making an empire!

well by building a military hospital you can restore them to full battalion. however u need to enter into second era before you can build it.

you need to build military camps, they are available in the 2nd era. You can then restore these units.
