Assherick is mistaken. God has already set up his Kingdom in the life death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus said all authority HAS been given to me. Jesus is already Lord of the world. In Luke Jesus said the Kingdom of God is in your midst. To be sure, we are waiting on the final consumation of Christ's Kingdom. BUT, it has already started and Christianst are called to be part of the Kingdom agenda now, not to wait for God to do it all at the end!

can someone please tell me which christian denominations preach this type of messsage; and by that i mean a message that is one hundred percent based on the instrinsic meaning of the bible and translates every last word from it based on its author's intentions. you see i have recently rid myself of the mark of the beast, but now find myself without a church to learn, share, and grow in Christ with. can someone please help me? Has anyone here attempted verification of any of these religious claims? It's very amusing how deep the discussions can go, investigating only inside the beliefs and referring to the bible and other supporting documents ONLY. The only thing proven here is that it's a prime example of religious dogma at work.

@d993s Actually, the way the church handles money is different than other churches. Most seminars are FREE to the public. When money is given, the money does not go directly to the pastor of that church. It goes to the main conference in that area (which is set up for organization) and all pastors pretty much get the same amount of money. It doesn't matter how big or small your church is. There are some things taken into consideration, for example, cost of living in California compared to Iowa.

Calling a prophetic interpretation 'futuristic' isn't fair in my opinion. Asscherick states that he doesn't know when Jesus returns, which none of us do; but our belief in His immanent return is obviously in the future. I'm not going to argue, but Christians should be civil when disagreeing, not dismissive or antagonistic.

This is a prophecy about Jesus...That way there would be no doubt. But as it is right now, people are free to guess and I would not accuse people of being wrong because it is based on opinions.

Unfortunately (as I would love to believe the positive teachings of Christianity), there is no good reason to believe that ANY so-called prophecy has actually come to pass - certainly not with a result that is statistically significant, interpretations of scripture after-the-fact not withstanding.

You are right. A lot of people see whatever they want in the bible, but that isn't because of the bible but rather the opinion of others that they take as truth rather than what the Spirit is showing them. Most of the time one doesn't understand fully what a prophecy means until it has come to pass.

People can guess and try to plan it out, but all in all, we can only accept what we read and wait to see how it plays out.

As Christians, we should love God and because of that love WANT to obey Him. Why? Because we realize He has our best interest and it isn't about obeying in fear or duty, but out of love. Like when you obey your parents. Your parents set rules because they care and love you and have your best interest. Not to dictate your life.

@xpsalm119x Often times we disobey unknowingly. Some people live life without knowing God or what He asked of us, but later in life come to know God and wish to change their ways. They repent and surrender to God and as for His strength. And in knowing Him, their desires change. There are also those who know what God asks of us and choose to disobey. God forgives them when they repent also. We should strive to live as Christ lived, and we cannot do this of ourselves.

@rockyrockpretty i saw a scientific guy say that it has been measured concretely that the speed of light is slowing down, and so is the rate of nuclear decay. he did some fancy computer projections and according to what he found at the time of adam and eve the speed of light etc. was like a million times faster than it is today. which supports the 6 thousand yr old earth.

btw the year 2017 is the 120th jubilee yr. (see genesis 6:3)

Evolution has been verified over years of investigation from multiple, independently verified lines of inquiry. From mathematics to systems, to biology, and even historical investigations. Even if you could prove that God directly created everything, you would still need to show that he didn't use Evolution to do it.
