Holy god this was horrible. Someone needs to tell Tara to stop attempting to solo.She has no speed, no concept of scales or modes, or how to make a solo flow. She throws in a couple of weak licks, without any common phrasing to tie it together. Nevermind insulting Opeth by ripping a horrible solo on their Mikes signature model. Music is a spiritual thing, a soulful thing, and anyone who plays and explores music through the feeling of their own mind and hands rather than a classical way of doing it, is far fucking better in my opinion. @StitchedDead1O Tara is a horrible guitarist. But what can I expect from someone who brings up Disturbed in conversation about metal. There is no soul in her solo. Its sloppy, disjoined, and has no flow to it. Disturbeds guitarist isnt much better. He certainly doesnt "shred". Shredding requires technique. Dans solos are weak. Alex Skolnic makes both look like they just picked up the guitar. Neither player is close to the top 100 guitarists in metal. Know your stuff before you talk.

@cruehead67 No I talk down to those who quote poor guitar players like Dan Dogan from Disturbed as an impressive player. Music is an art form. Soloing is an art form, Tara's solos are really bad art. They are cobbled together poorly. Not well written or played. Guys like Alex Skolinick write technical soulful solos that fit each song and enhance the mood. As does Jeff Loomis formerly of Nevermore. Sorry but years of following the best it pains me to listen to some of the worst.
