Nope, it is 2001. Shorter Hockenheim track has a pole time of approx 1.14s. Look at the second sector time here- 1m11s. I doubt the final sector is just 3s in duration. ;)

Montoya Might Not Be The Best Driver In The World But He Sure As Hell Has No Damn Fear When He Drives In F1 He Use To Be One Of The Only Guys Who Would Stand Up To Schumacher And Their Feuds When They Were Near Each Other Were So Freaking Exiting And It Sucks That Montoya Use To Get Screwed Some Times With The Fia But He Definitely Has Given His Country And Us The Race Fans Some Good And Bad Moments Thank JPM.
F1 is a politic power game. When Montoya clearly showed to be better than Schumy the game started,It's very easy to win when you have Barrichello working for you (what a shame),when you have the blu Ferrari(Sauber) working for you (what a shame) and when you have Fia-Judges working for you(disgusting). Schumy was good but.give those "facility" to any other good driver and he surely 'll be WC .Montoya had all this "against" so his job in F1 has been simply extraordinary
You may be right, but in those years Montoya wasn't alone. Raikkonen in 2003 was quicker than MSC (he has lost the WC in 2003 for 2 points or so...), and the finn in 2005 deserved to win the championship. 2002 and 2004 were the years were Ferrari was far superior, but the other times schumi had to fought to win ;)

This is 2002! Look first at the steering wheel... in 2001 it was blue all around, this has only the blue part where the driver puts his hands on... AND in 2001 Montoya took pole at the last moment from his team-mate Ralf and by like 0.020...
Trust me, it's 2001! This is on the old Hockenheim- it wasn't used in 2002. JPM took pole by 0.019s from Ralf, but as you can see from the clip he was faster on his final run, which he aborted as pole was secure.
He took pole at the last moment from Ralf at the Nurburgring in 2002.. by 0.009s!
I'm with Podmeister, and other fact is that JPM started F1 in 2001 and in his fist year he had couple of pole positions, and this one was the fist one.....then it's 2001.
The tracked was changed to its current form for the 2002 race, so if this were 2002 he would be driving through a forrest path instead of the straights
@avillarreal if it was 2002 montoya would have a HP logo on his helmet rather than Compaq, as there was a change in sponsors mid-season that year. Also Fedex would be visible on the front of the car
man stop screaming for nothing.. this is obviusly 2001.. old version of hockenheım with 1.38.xx lap times.. the new version was a year later.. ralf had had 1.38.13x and montoya came with 1.38.11x and got the pole. BMWs were dominating in that year on long straights..

The 2001 Ferrari was also in a class of its own. Way more reliable and faster than either McLaren or Williams.

This is 2001- on the old Hockenheim track. In 2002 the shorter/new version was used and Schumacher took the pole on that.
Not sure what race you are thinking of? In 2001 he took pole after the chequer in the wet at Spa. That was his second F1 pole position.
