I have both and the old Xbox 360 was terrible had 5 and they all broke within a week and I changed to a ps3. And it lasted but the new Xbox is better I prefer it and the only thing better about Sony is that when my ps3 broke they came and replaced it the next day I didn't have to send it to Germany like the Xbox

personally i think ps3 is better i did have 3 xboxs the first 2 had the red ring of death the 3rd i got the elite and that was bull shit it had been degraded from the arcade version. i have had many problems with the 360 i got the ps3 last year and ive loved it ever since!
The reasons why ps3 is better 1.it has blu-ray. 2. It has free online with no ads. 3. A huge library of quality games and exclusives. 4.huge customization. 5. Web browsing. 6.downloading free music from a mp3 website on your ps3 HDD. 7. Download your favorite you tube videos on your ps3 HDD. And way more. ps3 controllers are better there smaller and i like the R2 AND L2 buttons when i had a xbox 360 elite i liked it until it engraved a circle scratch on my discs so i sold it and got ps3 i was online in 5 min for free with no problems

I love both consoles, but have a 360 only because i won it , i was having a hard time deciding which one to get a while back but i ended up winning the 360 from mountain dew when they had that honor the code thing, I agree about the dashboard and the controller, i use to be more of a ps person but i do love the 360 controller and i don't really like how stuff is set up on the ps3 and how you have to install games to it. I'd still like to have one though.
I also have both consoles and i prefer the PS3 a little more, but the Xbox 360 is still GREAT. Also will you eve br upgrading you 360 to the new "S" console?

@WeatherMaNhq pc 2k? no. pre-built, plug and play desktop pc, $600, plays everything on max quality. problem is, you cant go to best buy, gotta go to tigerdirect or newegg or maybe amazon. yes, youll need a monitor but heres the thing. you can upgrade desktop PCs EASILY (easier than modding an xbox not to RoD). so buy a new monitor every 5 yrs, put $50-100 into your desktop once every 1-2 yrs and itll always run on high quality w/ everything. cheaper than console long run.

now if youre really cheap, you can learn how to liq. cool ($100) and overclock (free) and youll spend very little on upgrades in the future
Hey David I have a question I have a xbox and I love the new dashboard but I was was wondering about how xbox has you pay for live and PSN doesn't but I have heard that now PSN is going to go to the hole online key code thing for all game kinda like BBC2 I would like to hear your opium on the hole paying for live or paying for individual key codes.
I own both and I think they both have their strengths and weaknesses. I think the online and interface are better on the 360, but I think the media experience and graphics are better on the PS3.
i have a PS3 and i don't like the controller at all i personally think that it is to small to fill my hand, and myself and my friend have an Xbox 360 each and i prefer the Xbox but i ply on the PS3 because i don't currently have any of my own games for the Xbox :(

ps3 duh... online is free and it is just as good online xperience as 360. i own both btw. ps3 has blu-ray automatically and 360 does not. ps3 has internet browser..360 equals no...music, netflix, etc. i see mroe variet in ps3, 360is stilll awesome but i prefer ps3 cuz i feel that it offer more both with its customization and menu bar. plus some of the exclusives i have played one ps3 such as infamou and infamous2 are freaking amazing.

The Internet browser on PS3 is garbage also. 360 has ingame musing unlike PS3 and netflix. There's more variety and content on the 360. The XMB is garbage also
- Blu-ray. Some xbox 360 games have to be on two or more discs because DVD discs aren't big enough anymore, and i know how annoying it can be having to swap discs all the time from playing certain Gamecube games. Plus the obvious plus point of blu-ray is the better looking films.
- PS3 has great exclusives (Just like the 360 does). Little big Planet series, Uncharted series, Killzone series, Resistance 3 (Didn't like 1 and 2 much but 3 was amazing), Infamous series, God of war 3 and HD remakes, Modnation racers and finally my personal favourite PS3 game Gran turismo 5. These obviously aren't all of the great PS3 exclusives, but these are the ones i actually play and enjoy.
- I think that a big reason for anyone preferring one console over another is what console the large majority of their real life friends play on, and for me that is the PS3.
- Free online. The most overused reason that PS3 fanboys use, but for good reason. I can go for a couple of months at a time without playing my PS3 and the fact that i am not paying for it means i am not worrying about wasting my money, which i would have been if i was on the 360.

I'm sorry but ps3 has way better games than 360. I have both consoles and lets be honest main games on 360 are gears and halo, ps3 has plenty of games too choose from. I say 360 of course online is leaps and bounds better than ps3, but overall as a gaming system ps3 hands down takes it.

Doesn't it bother you that the PS3 still suffers from the YLOD and dead blu-ray disc drives? Last time I checked PS3 fanboys couldn't stop crying about how multiplats continued to look better on the 360 than on the PS3.
This, like most platform 'battles' (mac vs pc, cd vs vinyl etc), all whittles down to choice and preference. Personally, I have a PS3, just because it suits my needs. I can see why people buy Xbox's, but I am willing to sacrifice the popularity of the Xbox for the built-in Blu-Ray player of the PS3. I just find arguing (this isn;t directed at you David in any way) about which is better slightly immature. They both have their pro's and con's, just like any other situation.
I have both xbox and ps3. I use the ps3 has a really good 3d blu ray player and server reciever for movies and music and xbox for talking to my friends PC is where the gamings at!!!
The controller on an Xbox 360 is a little fat and for people with small hands it can be a little hand to use, don't you agree? So in my opinion PS3 controller is slightly better. Also after saying that the Xbox 360 controller feels a little more comfortable.
Personally overall I think PS3 is better. I'm not a fanboy or anything because I have both consoles but I would rather have restricted features than pay £45 a year. Also you have to buy that xbox router thing, which in my opinion shouldn't be needed. Getting started to join Xbox Live is a fuss but Xbox Live smashes PSN. But overall, PS3 wins with sports games such as Fifa, etc. Xbox 360 in my opinion is more an action/shooting game.
The only thing people can say when it comes to this is the ps3 online is free. People need to get over the fact that you have to pay for online on the 360 because its simply worth it for the better experience... David explained this perfectly :)

I love both consoles, but have a 360 only because i won it , i was having a hard time deciding which one to get a while back but i ended up winning the 360 from mountain dew when they had that honor the code thing, I agree about the dashboard and the controller, i use to be more of a ps person but i do love the 360 controller and i don't really like how stuff is set up on the ps3 and how you have to install games to it. I'd still like to have one though.

@WeatherMaNhq pc 2k? no. pre-built, plug and play desktop pc, $600, plays everything on max quality. problem is, you cant go to best buy, gotta go to tigerdirect or newegg or maybe amazon. yes, youll need a monitor but heres the thing. you can upgrade desktop PCs EASILY (easier than modding an xbox not to RoD). so buy a new monitor every 5 yrs, put $50-100 into your desktop once every 1-2 yrs and itll always run on high quality w/ everything. cheaper than console long run.

@WeatherMaNhq i know the rrod is fixed, but im saying many ppl self-fixed it. and a $600 pc is cheaper than a $300 console in the long run because when you buy a new console, you have to buy the whole thing. when the new generation comes out for pc, i just spend a couple hundred dollars.
now if youre really cheap, you can learn how to liq. cool ($100) and overclock (free) and youll spend very little on upgrades in the future

ps3 duh... online is free and it is just as good online xperience as 360. i own both btw. ps3 has blu-ray automatically and 360 does not. ps3 has internet browser..360 equals no...music, netflix, etc. i see mroe variet in ps3, 360is stilll awesome but i prefer ps3 cuz i feel that it offer more both with its customization and menu bar. plus some of the exclusives i have played one ps3 such as infamou and infamous2 are freaking amazing.

- Blu-ray. Some xbox 360 games have to be on two or more discs because DVD discs aren't big enough anymore, and i know how annoying it can be having to swap discs all the time from playing certain Gamecube games. Plus the obvious plus point of blu-ray is the better looking films.

- PS3 has great exclusives (Just like the 360 does). Little big Planet series, Uncharted series, Killzone series, Resistance 3 (Didn't like 1 and 2 much but 3 was amazing), Infamous series, God of war 3 and HD remakes, Modnation racers and finally my personal favourite PS3 game Gran turismo 5. These obviously aren't all of the great PS3 exclusives, but these are the ones i actually play and enjoy.

Why i personally prefer the PS3:
- I think that a big reason for anyone preferring one console over another is what console the large majority of their real life friends play on, and for me that is the PS3.
- Free online. The most overused reason that PS3 fanboys use, but for good reason. I can go for a couple of months at a time without playing my PS3 and the fact that i am not paying for it means i am not worrying about wasting my money, which i would have been if i was on the 360.

This, like most platform 'battles' (mac vs pc, cd vs vinyl etc), all whittles down to choice and preference. Personally, I have a PS3, just because it suits my needs. I can see why people buy Xbox's, but I am willing to sacrifice the popularity of the Xbox for the built-in Blu-Ray player of the PS3. I just find arguing (this isn;t directed at you David in any way) about which is better slightly immature. They both have their pro's and con's, just like any other situation.

The controller on an Xbox 360 is a little fat and for people with small hands it can be a little hand to use, don't you agree? So in my opinion PS3 controller is slightly better. Also after saying that the Xbox 360 controller feels a little more comfortable.

Personally overall I think PS3 is better. I'm not a fanboy or anything because I have both consoles but I would rather have restricted features than pay £45 a year. Also you have to buy that xbox router thing, which in my opinion shouldn't be needed. Getting started to join Xbox Live is a fuss but Xbox Live smashes PSN. But overall, PS3 wins with sports games such as Fifa, etc. Xbox 360 in my opinion is more an action/shooting game.

@LoweHD M$ makes billions a year off of XBL fees and all you get exclusive over PSN is cross game chat and 'better connection' which i find to be false as fk considering i've played both plenty and no noticeable connection difference. And all the 'amazing exclusives' are like all sequels of last gen Xbox.. look @ how many NEW exclusives Ps3 has.. (saying Xbox's library is better is opinion btw..) I prefer Playstations.
