Regarding his "claim to fame", if your understand this interview in the context of the 20,000 + utube viewers, the dj generates socially acceptable discourse removed from instinctual drives that support his survival i.e. his financial viability. He has seduced you into thinking that he is honest, real, credible and that his integrity as a dj and human being are intact. When you say "pretty much underground" do you disregard his subsequent financial success? Things are what they seem.

This is one of the most insightful interviews I've ever seen a dj give. The bit about how Z-Trip isn't as good with technical scratches so he makes up for it with by being funky and musical instead of just showing off is really interesting. It's also great to hear someone successful explain that success in the industry comes to people who love dj'ing enough that they'd do if they got paid or not.
