Admit it, if G4 had been Faust's original design it would have been even better :D then we wouldn't have people mocking G3 and rainbow dash always dressing in style...instead we'd look back at our favorite current characters to their original counterparts with admiration. @MisslemikeTheBrony what are you, like 12? G4 wouldn't be shit without G1, this is where it all started. This was the 80s, everything was hand drawn, and this was directed at children. The plot was still a good one, and Lauren Faust utilized most of the characters from G1 into the G4 ponies. The animation and voice acting may be lacking, but that's what 80s cartoons are. have a little respect for a show a lot of people grew up with.

Kids don't think about where babies come from or sexual partners being needed usually for a baby to be born. So producers of children shows and games usually don't include such things normally. Or it's so subtle you only get it AFTER your innocence is forever shattered.

...beautiful. I wasn't born yet when this waas aired, and people would tell me I would be too old to watch it now. Actually my interest was was awakened because of the Friendship is magic show, where people told me how it was better then something they never watched themselves. Now I watch the first G1 stuff and come to the conclusion you can't compare these different shows at all. They have a whole different atmosphere. And I really adore what I'm seeing here.

I really love these original episodes the best. They had a good story line, and there was usually only 1 or 2 songs. Also, Megan really looks the best here. So, many of the later versions were so dumbed down, and had so many songs in them they weren't much fun to watch.
