there is no god, and there is no satan. religion was created to put the fear of god into people so that they would do good things, and be afraid to do bad things with the fear of going to "hell". the few intelligent people created religion to control the masses. and it worked out well because humans naturally feel the instinct to worship something. the fact is, if you were taught to worship a cow as a child, you would pray to it all your life.

My two cents: I don't think there is technical "evidence" to support following Christ, just an overwhelming feeling that it's right, this powerful feeling of being loved, that changes everything for me. Craggles: I can see /feel wind and electricity + effects - but who has ever seen an atom? It is just the accepted theory. In the same way, there is evidence for evolution and the big bang, but more evidence against it than for it. Plus if you read the book of Revelation, you will see about the 'mark of the best' with the number '666', in the forehead or right hand. You have never seen wind or electricity, or an atom. You have seen the effects of all three. But I still can't grasp why critisizing evolution makes your creationist theory more sound. As for Revelations, well I don't think i have heard any two Christians interpret it the same. Incedently, a coincidence is not something that happens 2000 years later, it is two or more similar or identical incidents that happens at the same time, which is what the word means.
I have also never seen God, but have seen the effect of Him (same principle) - and what you think is a coincidence is called Deja Vu (french for 'twice seen' literally). A co-incidence can mean that, but it is usually used in the context I used it in.

Actually, all this enmity to Christians just makes me believe in Jesus more:why is it that Christianity is always the most attacked religion, despite one of the fastest-growing religions in the world? Jesus even said that Christians would be hated by the world, even before Christianity was founded. azafor- were just defending our religion. LesGuitares2000, actually all scientists, evolutionists and creationists, agree on the fact that the Big Bang happened. Furthermore, parts of the evolution theory are true. Almost all the Christians, even the Pope, believe microevolution is probable. Where we and the evolutionists disagree is on macroevolution. There is approximately a 5% difference between us humans and apes. This is the only thing that evolutionists show to ppl, and most don't look beyond that fact. 35000 cell difference, tho.
I'm still trying to figure out why Christians believe in creation because they don't believe in evolution. Evolution is wrong so therefore creationism must be true? Rather than attack another theory to justify ones own, why don't Christians concentrate on their own theory and make it semi-plausable. Its not of course, but an attempt would be good. When your theory is that weak though it is very hard to convince others without paying attention to other theories.

My two cents: I don't think there is technical "evidence" to support following Christ, just an overwhelming feeling that it's right, this powerful feeling of being loved, that changes everything for me. In the same way, there is evidence for evolution and the big bang, but more evidence against it than for it. Plus if you read the book of Revelation, you will see about the 'mark of the best' with the number '666', in the forehead or right hand. There is now, in japan, a new tiny chip (code 666) implanted only in the forehead and right hand. More than a co-incidence, I think!

Incedently, a coincidence is not something that happens 2000 years later, it is two or more similar or identical incidents that happens at the same time, which is what the word means.

Almost all the Christians, even the Pope, believe microevolution is probable. Where we and the evolutionists disagree is on macroevolution. There is approximately a 5% difference between us humans and apes. This is the only thing that evolutionists show to ppl, and most don't look beyond that fact. 35000 cell difference, tho.

I'm still trying to figure out why Christians believe in creation because they don't believe in evolution. Evolution is wrong so therefore creationism must be true? Rather than attack another theory to justify ones own, why don't Christians concentrate on their own theory and make it semi-plausable. Its not of course, but an attempt would be good. When your theory is that weak though it is very hard to convince others without paying attention to other theories.

What they don't teach you when they talk about Charles Darwin and evolution is that Darwin himself disproved his theory of Evolution later in life after publishing Origin of the Species - he showed that the human eye is just too complex to have evolved. He actually became Christian shortly before he died!

By saying "Big Bang", you think the 'Bang' lasted millions of years? The definition of bang: a loud, sudden, explosive noise.. You say evolution didn't happen instantly yet that's disproved in its own title.

i'm not trying to criticize anyone. I'm just saying that there are more ways to disprove evolution in its entirety than they are to prove it.
It's like if someone told me the green M&M was poison and more ppl disproved it than proved it..I would belive that it was not poison.

Who mentioned anything about proving or disproving evolution. Not me. If you want to argue your point, do so. But trying to disprove evolution does not make your creationist theory right. As for the M&M example, well thats a bad example. Show me a little more intelligence please. So taking away the bible, give me good evidence that God exists.

I'm sorry if I am criticizing you in any way. I just believe that everything the Bible says is true and that God sent Jesus to die for us and if we believe in Him and do as He says that when we die we will be in Heaven forever. Being a witness is part of my responsibility as a Christian.
The term 'Christian' has been bent and broken by all the people who claim to be one. I believe that you must have a growing relationship with God and be bold and strong and witness through actions to be one.

Why use the word we or you. Jesus may have died for your sins, trust me he never died for mine. As for Jesus saying you will go to heaven. Well what a crock that is. Show me where he says that please. The bible says it true does it? Like jesus multiplied loaves and fish, and walked on water. Big deal, so did Peter, and didn't jesus ask his disciples to multiply the loaves too? So why haven't you done these things. Is the bible true? Of course not.

Only through the power that Jesus gave them before leaving the earth. It took faith for them to do those things. It mentions Heaven many times.

We will reign forever and ever with Christ (Revelation 22:5). Eternity is a long time, but how we live now determines how we will live forever. We will either be experiencing God's wrath in hell, or we will reign with Christ to God's glory in heaven.

i do agree with you. i don't think that people need to read the ALL bible to understand and see that Jesus isn't imaginary. just read a little bit of it, have an open heart, and everything will be clear. JESUS DOES EXIST. now, if you don't have this open heart to listen to him... just ask him, and believe that he will answer you... beleive.
