ok, girl im sorry i disagree with like everythin u said!, cold foods r good for your tongue when u get it peirced bc it reduces the swelling and makes it feel better, oh and the dairy prduct thing, is a myth, i acked my peircer, & its 100% a myth :) i had tons of ice cream and dairy when i got my tongue peirced and i had no problems at all!

I just wanted to say that your videos have really helped me prepare for my tongue piercing. I got my tongue pierced last wednesday and my tongue was swollen for only two days. I've found that sea salt soaks and pineapple juice really bring down the swelling a lot. I'm living off of ice,bottled water,broths,sherbert,jello,ap­ple sauce,and oatmeal.

after i got mine pierced, ice was my best friend, also salt water really helps with the healing process. whoever has a new piercing or wants one be REALLY careful when you eat for the first week, i wasnt and snagged my ring on my teeth, my top hole is ripped. be careful and take good care of your piercings!

I couldn't eat much for a few days after I got my tongue pierced. I couldn't tolerate ice, popsicles, or anything because it made my tongue hurt.

And my tongue is yellow .. I ate cheese , products that has milk and butter . Is it a sign of yeast infection :( ?

@Zoeyy0156 No normal table salt is bad because it contains iodine, non-iodized sea salt is best. No, while healing your tongue will get a yellow film over it, sometimes you will have bad breath too. Its just the yellow pus leaking out and getting on your tongue. (sorry gross), just brush your tongue every night.

@twilightpony223 I am too, all of my cartilage piercings took at least a year to heal as well as both my navel piercings, but my tongue took about a week to heal...so you might be surprised...the tongue is one of the fastest piercings to heal and mine is a testament to that. By week 2 I was already able to painlessly stretch mine to a 12g. I was good about cleaning it, and I dont smoke or drink, but I did try to eat a lot of sandwiches, which was very difficult. Good luck! My tongue is my fav!
