I forgot about the guy who called in and said, "Why don't we die when the sun goes down?" The depth of ignorance is astonishing. The caller's argument was basically this: energy comes from the sun, there is no energy at night because the sun isn't in the sky, therefore we should all be dead at night. It should have only taken a minimum amount of thinking for the caller to see the problem with this...but he didn't. God's energy keeps us alive at night...was his implied conclusioin.

I'm personally Christian only to the extent that I beleived Jesus really lived. I however don't beleive he was a demigod or anything else like that. The idea he died for our sins sounds like it'd be good if not for the fact it would mean the story of adam and eve is ment to be taken literally as is the story of noah, and I don't beleive that at all. I see Jesus more or less as just a teacher if anything else. And the idea he supported slavery? I find it more likely whoever wrote the bible lied.
