Keller had a solid rookie year but u need more than one WR and a TE to win games with a young QB. Freeman is not the answer NY! You already have 2 young potential starters on ur roster. Draft Harvin or DHB and let Clemens show off that 70 yard strong arm while one of them burn the CB with elite speed. They really need 2 WRs one in the 1st and another somewhere after the 3rd.

I don't understand how anyone can say he should start because of what he did in this game when he struggled BIG-TIME last year to beat Pennington in training camp and couldn't beat Ratliff for playing time in the preseason. I highly doubt he'll beat Ratliff this time around, because there is a starting job in on the line and Mangina is not there to automatically play the guy who has been around the team longer, again.

The only reason why he got to back up Farve in the regular season was because Mangina didn't want to look even more foolish for reaching for him in the 2nd round of the 2006 draft by going with an undrafted player. If Clemens fails to bridge a gap between himself and Ratliff (like he did with Penny just last year), he'll be riding the pine again next season.

We need a new QB, Chad was amazing but to injury prone and when he loses his form he loses it to fucking big time, I doubt Clemens will fair much better. We should have given Culpepper a try, sure he fucked up in Miami and Oakland but we need some experience as a good 2nd string. How is Pennington still worthy of starting? The Jets defense held the bills to 13 points and still lost. Pennington could not muster a single touchdown against one of the worst teams in the nfl. He only has such a high completion percentage because about 80% of his throws are within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage. His receivers get hit as soon as they catch the ball because it gets there so slowly. Clemens gives his receivers a chance to make a play.
