Sorry to disappoint people but there were others in Britain and Ireland long before Romulus and Remus sucked a she wolfs tit. Excalibur is a pretty bad Latin phonetic mispronunciation of the Welsh (i.e. Brythonic) Caledvwlch which developed out of one of the forms of the Irish Caladcolc (like the Arthur myth itself - Fionn?) and then became Caliburnus in Monmouth's writings

Wow, how some people cannot grasph simple things...Caesar is considered to be the first emperor of Rome, and even though he kind of seized power, people still praised him after his death. He was considered a great warhero, an example for all Romans, and a brilliant general. A 'real Ceasar' is thus considered a great leader/emperor, and can even nowadays still be sued in speech, just like someone would say 'you're going to be a real Einstein when you grow up'.
