  • Those cupcakes are adorable! I was having fun watching this video.

  • If you added to much milk, just add more powdered sugar! It could also be the food coloring, did you use drops? If yes then you want to use color gel (wiltons color gel is 1.50) color drops makes the frosting watery cuz it changes the consistency, coloring gel does not!

  • if the frosting comes out soggy i actually put in the fridge for like an hour or two

  • your iceing isn't soggy the cupcakes are to warm and it melted the frosting to make it look soggy

  • No that is not true, as the cupcakes where fully cooled before icing, we put too much milk in the icing. If truth be known.

  • So that your frosting won't be too soggy put it in the freezer for twenty minutes and then leave at room temperature for ten minutes. The frosting will not freeze it will still be soft but a little bit harder so that ur decorations come out good

  • they look nice, but i would strongly suggested not using black and red frosting at all next time. the dye is very noticeable when u eat it. but excellent designs!

  • They look awesome!

  • They look just perfect, sweetie!

  • omgosh she is just adorable!

your cup cakes look fantastic, another cool way is to use fontant icing, you can then cut out cute shapes with cutters and put them on, it works super well if you combine the kind of awesome iceing you have done and put like little flowers on and stuff. Fabulous work guys!

  • they look great........but im not to sure about the black and red ones...........

    Thank you

  • So adorable! I think its amazing how your mom is teaching you how to bake at such an early age. My mother did the same with me!

  • Thank-You so much, I think we should do a sequel soon.

  • Thankyou we have a great deal of fun, I still remember when I was a young child and lived with my grandmother and she let us help make fruitcake.

  • Hello sweetie. I like your cup cakes. My 15 year old daughter and I have been baking and ICING for three years. I want you to be careful not to put to much icing on the cup cakes. You dont want to eat to much sugar. Oh let me say this sweetie if you and your mommy use salted butter or margarine, YOU REALLY DONT NEED SALT, even if the recipe says one teaspoon of salt. I make cup cakes and cakes almost daily and NEVER use salt. TAKE CARE SWEET HEART.

  • Thank you so much.

  • You are simply adorable :)

  • She sure is and always a big helper.

  • sow cute!

  • thank you so much, yes I agree she has a very sweet little voice, she is nine years old and is a doll.

  • they look delicious!

  • they look great.

  • I think your cupcakes are cute, especially the blue/green swirl ones! A tip to stiffen up your icing is to add a small pinch of cream of tartar. It will stiffen up your icing just the right amount to keep the shape of flowers and any tip you are using.

  • i like the blue and white swirl one

  • same here

  • Hi..How do you make your buttercream hard enough to stand?? Mines is always a little melty and hard to make roses..Help???

  • i love it

  • butter cream icing can get to soft if it is to warm, try putting it in the fridge for a bit and make sure your hands are not to warm.

  • i think that the cupcakes looked very nice. the one thing that i can say about making the icing not soggy is that you can put cold water on your hands. your hands might have been hot or warm which tends to melt the icing. but overall i think that you did a very nice job. keep working at it!

  • thank you so much.

  • no problem! try it out and tell me how it goes.

  • did you make the icing yourself? or is it store bought! and also, was the icing hard and thick? because the store bought ones are, how do you make them soft and fit them on the cupcakes?

-thanks! and great looking cupcakes! (:

  • Hello there, we made a Butter Cream Icing, I felt it was a bit too soft, I ran out of icing powered sugar so next time I will try and do it with a bit more icing sugar.

    Thank you Shelldall

  • Hi Shelldall! Sorry to hear about the consistency of the icing being too soft. I'm a baking enthusiast, and I can tell you : Shortening has a lower water content than butter- which makes for a stiffer icing. I have combined butter with a little shortening into my buttercream frosting with fantastic results. It creates an ideal consistency for piping. Also, I would try chilling the piping bag for 10-15 minutes to harden the butter. Beautiful cupcakes, btw.

  • Pretty nice those look yummy :)

  • Thank you so much, we will be making a greenhouse in the spring, hope you will watch that one.

    take care

  • Very Nice
