I remember one of my games had a glitch on it, that my nest somehow was in the middle of the ocean, and whenever I went onto dry land.......the sea monster would come out and eat me.....

Just go to the save game in the space stage (before you start) and terraform so all the continents touch. Also, it'll make it so in the civ stage you only need to capture 4 cities. (which will get you a secret achievement). You can't put a colony or a monolith there, otherwise it deletes that savegame slot.

And I always loved that monster! Even when I was merely gliding around and got to a really small pool of water in one of my planets... and it came out of nowhere.

@xservintage If you have been a Omnivore in Cell Stage, the Sea Monster will like you in Tribal Stage(but will still hate you in Creature Stage).

@dinoswrath there is a version already available to edit, open the sporepedia and look at the maxis creations. he has legs unlike this finned version, and his name is battered fish

Perhaps. It will take a while thoughl, since my old computer with Spore got broke and my laptop wouldn't be able to process it at proper speed. But if you Search for it in the creation searcher (I think that's its name) you could find it easily.
