  • Cool, how much?

  • Investment? Aren't they like, $30?

  • Bought this litter box after watching this video, have had it for a week now and LOVE IT! No complaints, haven't scooped littler in a week. It works just like this video. My kids like to clean the kitty littler now. Buy one, it's great.

  • how is it self cleaning ? does it dispose the excreated waste into a bin for you ?

  • I like this one better than the damn little maid that is supposed to be self cleaning.

  • wow!

  • I have one of these. Unfortunately, sometimes the cat will pee next to the grate. So a urine ball forms around the grate and will be firmly attached to it. Not good.

  • This is a horrible concept for a litter box... imagine if you had poop and pee all over your bathroom walls and ceiling, and had to go in it everyday... I pity your cat. The best litter box is an open one that is manually cleaned at least twice a day.

  • My cat would never use it full of pees and poos. She likes a fresh box every time she goes. Litter-Maid cleans itself after every use.

  • @Artilas Well good for you! :) it's so nice that the average person who can afford one of the easiest-to-get pets in America can also afford at least a hundred dollars for LitterMaid! How lucky your cat is! *end of sarcasm* Seriously, this litter box was an innovative solution to a common complaint cat owners have. Meantime, cats commonly lick their own nether regions to clean themselves, so the average cat probably isn't such a priss. Especially since the poop isn't 'smeared' on the inner wals.

  • I'm sure the cat just loves his feces and urine smell rubbed all over the walls of his box.

  • I love how people comment on the amount of poop. That's 2 days worth for 2 cats. This thing broke about a month after this and we don't use it anymore.

  • @vorhese I was going to ask! I am glad to know, I am looking into this and I have 2 cats.

  • @vorhese ~ I just don't see how people break these things. If your talking about the plastic clips, you can just drill a few holes around it and use some metal bolts and wing nuts. Still beats scooping twice a day.

  • Dad gum....When was the last time u cleaned it? WHHHOOOOAAAAA mama!

  • Brilliant. Wow... where can I buy one?

  • where do you get this and how much is it?

  • Since this product is meant to be used without a liner, don't the sides and bottom of the box get grimy after awhile? Regular litter boxes get pretty disgusting with crud build-up after a few days, even if you use clumping litter and scoop it often - which is why I always have to use a liner in my cat's box. I'm confused about how the Omega is supposed to stay clean without any sort of liner protection.

Looks like a neat product, though.

  • I know people who are too lazy to even do this and usually have like 5 cats. NASTY

  • what litter do you use? does anyone recommend precious cat with the omega paw?

  • @redheadelf Best litter is the the green buckets at Sam's club. We have used it since it came out a few years back, it's better than anything else, and we've tried it all. It is premium clumping, it is not as dusty as most, and has a better odor control, that is not that powerful perfume type they put in the others. Your cat won't smell like litter when it's done.

  • I would like to buy one but I am worried that the poo and pee will stick to the sides of the litter box when you turn it upside down and then my cat will get his back dirty. Can anyone tell me if this happens?

  • @Lindakeith1983 The litter box was designed to be used in conjunction with clumping litter. Since most cat's bury their waste, the litter should form a sort of barrier between the actual waste and the litter box when being rolled. The only way that you would encounter any smearing on the top and sides is if your cat does not cover their waste or if the cat has very loose stools. I hope this answers your question for you.

  • @Lindakeith1983 If you keep the litter to full point, and use premium clumping litter, there won't be any sticking. Our box serves three large cats, one of them is 17 lbs, and never have we had any sticking problem. Daily dumping is a must for 2-3 cats, with one cat every 2-3 days should be fine, just check litter fill regularly and you should be fine.

  • i like this litter box idea and i want really to get it from my little cat emmy but i don,t know from where can some body tell me from where can i pay it .

i am from uae and i can't find this box any where can get some help

    thank you

    emmy

  • @sahimkamal3 amazon.com will sell it to you

  • Have had mine for a few months. We have two cats and love how easy it is to use the OmegaPaw.

The only complaints I have are that the plastic clips are pretty fragile and break easily (two of mine broke while just rotating the box).

Also, (possibly due to the clips breaking) litter gets into the seam on the right side and falls out during rotations.

I've removed the broken clips and zip-tied everything together. If it stays together with those, I may try to mill new clips out of aluminum.

  • dude you sell it better then the creator .. lol , he dident even use real shitt .. you realy put that litter box to the test with that load ..

  • @seederblock !!!

  • We inherited the litter box and the two cats. We are not cat people. Not only does it work well and is not gross like a regular litter box, but our dog seems to avoid it, which we really appreciate!

  • I have that box and it is wonderful

  • for extra fun - include cat while rolling!

  • For those thinking about purchasing a OmegaPaw product.

I just tried posting the below questions (in previous post) on OmegaPaw's vid of the litter box.

Hit the submit button and got:

"You have been blocked by the owner of this video."

    Mistake?

Hope so as I was showing off a OmegaPaw litter box this morning while my breakfast was getting cold...

Sounds like OmegaPaw does not want anyone posting any "real" questions in regards to how the products hold-up /warranty issues.

  • @OmegaPaw

    On Amazon I read:

Latches are breaking (Need to be stronger)

    Leakage between sections

Q: Warranty?, if a part breaks, do you ship out replacements at nocharge?, Customer calls and you ship out the parts, OR does the customer have to jump thru hoops?

(EG: Deal with vendor purchased thru, and OR is required to ship back broken/defective parts?)

Website does not give warranty/ parts cost, only replacement parts for the litter boxes are available, to e-mail customer service.

  • I love it! I have three cats so this makes it so much easier! I have recommended for all the people who adopt cats at the adoption center and my friends and family.

  • works great. but i go really slow and gentle so those giant pee clumps dont fall apart before getting in the container.

  • Loved this in the beginning but....

One other bad thing about this is the size. Was fine for our 2 kittens, but NOT for adult cats! Ended up getting the igloo looking litterbox.

  • I was interested in this but A: I have a small bathroom (it barely fits my regular covered litter box) B: I've got two gigantic cats. C: This thing is huge... :(

  • @ladygaiajehan

the thing is not huge. we had to get a bigger litter box once our kittens became cats.

  • how does this handle pee? does it?

  • @disneylover0101 all you need to do is get a good clumping litter and that will solve the issue. Sometimes clumps of urine can get stuck on the bottom of this box as you turn it over. To solve this just hit the bottom of the box, once all the good litter has drained into the screen and the clumps will fall into the tray, and problem solved. This is the easiest way I have ever cleaned my cats box and it has saved me money on litter. I haven't had to change the litter in a month, just add litter.

  • No moving parts = nothing to break. I've had a littermate that was replaced TWICE in it's ~year long life and that damn thing cost over $100 US. I just payed $74.22 (price with shipping) for TWO of the large versions and I don't expect I'll ever have to send them in for repairs.

Please post your experiences with how well different cat litter brands work (or don't work) with this box.

    Thanks!

  • So far I am very happy with this litter box. It has made cleaning my cats litter fun and convenient. I have not had issues like some have complained about leaking litter. If you have stuck clumps on the bottom of box just hit the bottom of the box once you drained all the good litter into the screen, and the clumps will loosen and fall into the tray. Problem solved.

  • The Cat Genie is better.

  • @jtravis282 for the price this is waaayyyy better than the catgenie, so your crazy

  • @chickmunk182 I think 280 bucks is a small price to pay for years of not having to mess with a litterbox every day. No more buying litter. No more daily scooping. No more smelly cat turds stinking things up. I've had my cat genie for 2 months now and other than occasional maintenance it is well worth it. If flush it away and keeps the litter clean automatically. You can't beat that.

  • @jtravis282 It is a lot more money, ten times the price.

  • Cat lover with tatoos hmmm I not sure about this one

  • Pretty good!!

  • After having this thing for a while I have 2 complaints.

    1. There is a space behind the pull-out trough that litter can collect and not fall into the trough.

    2. The litter screen has a weak point at the fold. Ours cracked. What happens is the screen has a tendency to pull out of it's notch on the bottom when the litter box is rotated.

  • @vorhese before I get one, do you think it would help to remedy if you put less liter in at a time? or would it make no difference :( I REALLY want one, but don't want liter on my floor either :D

    Cheers.

  • @vorhese If you are in need of new clips or a litter screen, email customerservice@omegapaw.com and they will be happy to assist you.

  • I watched this and went out and bought one that day. THANK YOU! I love it!

  • The litter-robot is exactly like this, except it turns for you when it senses that your done is out of the box after it took a dump, this is cheaper though and you get the same results :D

  • haha i make these things...

  • Dam!...that is one huge shitload of cat shit!

  • is this the regular or the large size in this video? dont get them in shops in the uk, so its hard to judge the size

  • @kerry2u you cna get them in the UK, check out omegapaw.com for a store near you in the uk. Amazon has them too.

  • Would I have to get in there and scrub it to loosen it up? And also, is there some special way to put in new clean litter in the box, besides the hole the cats enter in?

  • Hi There are special clips that slide and lock the top to the bottom. When you need to put more litter in simply slide the clips and remove the top. If you just give the bottom a tap it should loosen any was that might get stuck to the bottom.

  • Just viewed this video yesterday and I'm thinking about purchasing one sometime soon. However, I've been reading a lot reviews about this Omega Paw litter box, but haven't seen anyone asking one question I'd like to have the answer to. Besides collecting poop in the shovel, what happens to the rest of the smelly, yucky litter that are wet/ moist that usually sticks to the bottom?

  • If you give a tap on the bottom when it is upside down it usually removes any clumps that get stuck to it. This litter box works best with clumping litter. If you still have any trouble with clumps sticking you can spray some cooking spray all over the inside components every time you give the box a good cleaning,

  • @Wowsh Great tip, that works very well

  • YES ^^ that is the question that is important!!

You can get grated shovels the can scoop the shit out any box..... but nothing to take that toxic wetness out. I bet this box doesnt do anything besides throw it around the rest of the cat litter.

Please correct me if im wrong! please

  • @ohgoodness05 When you use a proper clumping litter you get all of the nasty mess left behind, as long as you roll it, you will not have to scrap, or clean the bottom.

  • Thanks for the video, I was gonna buy it but didn't know how it worked. THANKS SO MUCH!!!

  • @WatashiKomakai How do you like your litter box?

  • thank you! i love youtube. its a great way to research products! ;)

  • I agree completely!

We got ours after our second electric self-cleaning box died. This one's easier to take care of than the crappy electric one ever was, it was much cheaper, and it's so low tech that I can trust that it will last pretty much for forever.

  • @bigcarlover great comment, thanks for the great feed back
