Usagi/Serena and Minako/Mina both thought Haruka/Amara was a man despite having had conversations with her so obviously her voice is masculine. As for me being ignorant of her element, I am not and I explained why I believe "Meteor Strike" is better/more appropriate than "World Shaking". @BoyKevin1990 How exactly is that? Meteors would strike from the heavens, as opposed to "World Shaking" which is purely earthbound. This is a much better attack name, and as for sounding like a man, Moon and Venus both thought she was a man despite spending time with and talking to her.

I like this better than the dub (putting all the correct call lines aside). The pitch was damn near perfect and the “grr” in “strike” gave me goosebumps. The attack call wasn’t smothered like the Cloverway Uranus. Well done.

Yeah, this is an old fandub. Not an official translation at all. I was around for the english dubs on TV. It was always World Shaking and they kept the same voice actress.

This was from Mark Spragues fandub, where Uranus' attack was named "Uranus Meteor Strike!" and Neptune's attack was "Neptune Tidalwave Submerge!". Hope that clears some things up ^_^

Definitely sounds like the Negavision dub. In my opinion that attack was muuuuuuuuuuch more convincing. The depth and roughness to her voice really conveys Uranus' character. Especially since her character IS originally the more masculine of the two lesbian sailors, the other being Neptune. I don't suppose anyone knows which episode this is, eh?

I know that her powers are based off of the sky/heavens, but it doesn't change the fact that the attack is called "Uranus World Shaking". That's just how it is, it's that simple. Besides, I think she only does sky based attacks in the manga.

It's the same problem with Sailor Venus, whose powers are based off of light, but they don't necessarily potray that in the anime.

It's a fandub of SMS, just like Neptune's Tidal Wave Submerge attack. And, last time I checked, don't Meteor's fall from the sky? Besides, World Shaking doesn't sound like a sky/heaven attack to me.

Indeed. I actually like "Meteor Strike" for that reason. It's a translation that conveys the meaning (meteors fall from the SKY) rather than re-used Engrish that gives a mistaken impression (World Shaking brings to mind an earthquake). And the attack looks like a meteor as well...
