that was awesome, i didnt think times like this were achieveable on the PAL version, i might have to try this soon :) though im gonna guess that on the NTSC version that about a 0:54 would be achieveable due to its higher framerate (60fps compared to our 50 -_-)
@utterrandomness oh thats pretty good then, i thought that just from looking at final fantasy 7 speedruns (because on the PAL version apparently 1 second on the in-game clock = 1.2 real seconds because of the framerate)
I have done this in 0:56 using shotgun if u want to see it watch it from my channel This can be done in 0:55 but its have to be a perfect run and using shotgun but great run:)
I posted a comment but it got sucked by a black hole or something...
Wouldn't hitting the boulder actually make you go faster? You would hit a lower point of the slope with that jump, letting you perform the next jump earlier, and with less vertical distance to cover, since that jump would also start at a lower point. I doubt it'd make 0:57 possible though...
hitting the boulder holds you back, so because Lara is being held back, she would be behind on the run that missed it (assuming the compared runs before the boulder are identicle)
I don't have the game with me right now, so I can't test, but logically thinking, wouldn't hitting the boulder actually be faster? If you still hit the Scion piece with the same number of running jumps, wouldn't hitting the boulder cause one of your jump to hit a lower point of land, giving you more rapid succession? Although I doubt it'd make 0:57 possible.

@blainyrules
No no, the clock is adjusted for PAL, so that the time is the same for both PAL and NTSC

Thank you! This record has been beaten with shotgun use, but it is the fastest itemless route ;)

isn't there a platform in the corner of the pool?
there was in the lost valley.

i think that the platform is at the wrong side of the pool. Thanks for the suggestion though :)

also, the more time spent at full running jump speed, the better!

Insane!
You have proved me wrong on this level
Congrats :)
