@westwatermd The four major record labels are looking to make as much money as possible. Music has hardly anything to do with it. you'll find that they own a lot of the smaller record labels that sign & release more creditable musicians, but they're are a big smart companies which have formed a kind if monopoly on the music industry. Even with all the money they're loosing from illegal downloads they are smart and have a new policy which involves taking more of the artists money from touring.
