Absolutely my fav episode and song from the show. I loved it so much and even after more than 20 years without hearing it the lyrics came back to me in a second. Dreamy to see this again, moving. "FAME" set new standards, it was fantastic and similar shows nowadays and new versions of it pale in comparison. This moves me, I really miss it. Remembering Gene Anthony Ray, so sad to know he left us so early. He was my biggest crush from the show, this is certainly a great memory. Thank you.

This is the best of Gene Anthony Ray! He was the best dancer/singer/preformer on Fame! He lost something got fat tried to reclaime his true fame and somehow died in the 1990s.

He was the best STAR of Fame! I loved him and Erica Gimpel/CoCo

I met Erica Gimpel in the 1990s in Santimonica Ca.

She signed my PDX Trail Blazer Hat! And, is now my friend on every website!

OMG - watched this when it came on TV in '82 (or so.) Actually have a copy of this somewhere on cassette - I was only 10, but FAME had such quality stuff, it was worth incorporating into mix-tapes. :-)

Singing and choreography were superb, esp. for an early 80's show. Awesome!

I never saw the point of the two girls dressed in gray w/pony tails, hopping all over the place.

There is a "voice stand-in" for Leroy @ 02:45-03:10. Leroy is not hitting the hi-notes. And the voice is not as intense as Leroy's acting.

This episode did it for me with Fame. After this, I expected every eppy to end just as spectacular. They never did or even came close. Bummer!
