I was born into it, and wasn't really offered the choice. Fortunately, I asked too many questions and was eventually asked to leave..not formally disassociated. I've been below poverty most of my adult life, and I don't think I've ever had JW's knocking on my door. Actually the word bible doesnt mean book. It actually is more like the word "Biblioteca" which means library or several books in one.
Their translation has changed so much from the original translations and has become more of a personal translation. There is no JW in here that can deny that there are entire verses taken out of their bible. Even some of the clear things to understand from the bible have been changed to better support the JW beliefs.

I, too, had a vague feeling of hypocrisy during that time, although I did not come out to myself until almost 2 years later. I now attend a Christian church in which I feel accepted and welcomed for who I am (not an easy thing to find). I just want to commend you for being so brave and honest. You have a beautiful heart and I wish you the best in your journey.

Though no longer affiliated with JWs, I have no apologies for spreading the word. I was doing what I thought was the right thing and what was encouraged in the Bible. Those given a chance to turn their life around, if so applicable, have the choice to listen or not. I know that staying active in that lifestyle kept me out of trouble and gave me a wonderful sense of peace with several mentors as an example. I will always have a soft spot for many dedicating their life to what they believe.

The reason why I think in the 70's they thought that armagedon was near because. the end was supposed to be in a time hard to deal with.. with world war 2 just 30 years before and then the cold war... in the 70's there was a lul or a time of peace... and thats why they thought it was so close because armagedon is supposed to come like a theif in the night. because if it came during war times then u could kinda of maybe expctpect it....

My commentary is no Spam - it is an answer of his apology. It could be that he had another message at the doors where he went 30 years ago. The good news = the good news and is not threatening and talking about homosexuality - but about Gods Kingdom of making peace and security on Earth - see Mat. 24:14; Rev. 21:3-5.
He was not misled by the WBTS but by himself and has overstepped biblical laws and rules.
This is my open opinion - maybe he does not like that - but it is sooo. :-P

Who knows what he has preached at the doors - maybe he had reason for apologizing? If you don't preach the gospel and the good news then something goes wrong and needs to say I'm sorry that I knocked. Or perhaps he was not so polite - harsh words - and threatening with Armageddon a.s.o. I would say then it is right for apologizing. But if you follow Jesus example, I would open my door and say welcome - I like your message :-)

Welcome to freedom. I'm ex-mormon and I can relate. Organized religion is going down, down, down. People are catching on but it does take courage to leave a cult. I wonder how long it will take until people are tired of not being able to be true to themselves.
I've encountered JW's and politely told them that religion is not for me. They were polite towards me in return and left me alone afterwards.
It takes a while to heal but once the bitterness is gone, it's a new life.

The WTS is God's arrangement for us because he communicates to us through men. The israelites had moses. They had david and others but did they worship them? I saw a poster where it said many are happy and clean without God. That may be true to them but who does it benefit? Is it clean to God? Is it helping others with their salvation? I was born into it, and wasn't really offered the choice. Fortunately, I asked too many questions and was eventually asked to leave..not formally disassociated. I've been below poverty most of my adult life, and I don't think I've ever had JW's knocking on my door. They tend to comb the middle and upper class suburbs I've noticed..finding that poor people-neighborhoods full of disabled, drugs, general non Disney aesthetics just aren't presentable enough for the glee club.

Actually the word bible doesnt mean book. It actually is more like the word "Biblioteca" which means library or several books in one.
Their translation has changed so much from the original translations and has become more of a personal translation. There is no JW in here that can deny that there are entire verses taken out of their bible. Even some of the clear things to understand from the bible have been changed to better support the JW beliefs.

I want to thank you for this brave and heartfelt video. I am a lesbian who studied with Jehovah's Witnesses for about a year. I, too, had a vague feeling of hypocrisy during that time, although I did not come out to myself until almost 2 years later. I now attend a Christian church in which I feel accepted and welcomed for who I am (not an easy thing to find). I just want to commend you for being so brave and honest. This man was removed from the JW's because he's not following scripture! Also to disfellowship someone is also scripture! It is unfortunate that he believed something that was in human error. Although no one knows when the end will come, it still will come. This man wants to be gay, JW or not, he will not gain God's approval. Nor will anyone who spread false lies about JW's. Is any one 100% correct? At least JW's are trying to follow scripture. Videos like this are simply in Satan's favor.

Satan really knows how to turn people away from God. Satan uses videos like these so people can believe in the lie! As for when the end is coming, The Bible clearly states that no one knows. Those who believed in those dates, its their own fault for not trusting the Bible! I believe no one is 100% correct, but JW's are trying to do what scripture says, which is preach about Gods kingdom! Todays JW's do not put a date on when the end will come, (ask them, they will tell you no one knows)...

They also say only 144,000 people go to Heaven. Jesus came to cleanse all of us and He promised us eternity so 144,000 is bullshit obviously. They said Jesus came back invisibly? in 1875 and died in 1917 ... invisibly. ... RIGHTTTTTTT. nice huh.

Though no longer affiliated with JWs, I have no apologies for spreading the word. I was doing what I thought was the right thing and what was encouraged in the Bible. Those given a chance to turn their life around, if so applicable, have the choice to listen or not. I know that staying active in that lifestyle kept me out of trouble and gave me a wonderful sense of peace with several mentors as an example. I will always have a soft spot for many dedicating their life to what they believe.

I don't understand. Why apologize for knocking on people's doors to share bible truths with them? It's the person that is listening to the message is the one that has the final say. People act like Jehovah's Witnesses put guns to people's heads and make them accept the message. They are simply reading from the same bible everybody reads. I don't understand people today. There is so much chaos in this world and someone comes to the door with hope and people get mad. Its a shame

JW beliefs are not Biblical. This is why they are apologizing...They led people astray. They DON'T read from the same Bible as everyone else. They read from the New World Translation and it's interpreted by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. Did you listen to WHY he's apologizing before typing your comment? JW don't have a message of hope because they preach a different gospel...there's no hope in a false gospel.

You sound like you have a good heart, but the "New World Translation" or the NWT Is not the same as the Bible. That book the JW's use has been written to deceive people. Let me give you an example. John 8-58 Jesus says to his antagonist, "before Abraham was I AM." That means the eternal one. In Greek it's ego eimee. But in the NWT it reads, "before Abrham came into existence, I have been.", BAD GRAMMER!

Thank you for your candor and apology. The Witnesses knocking on my door on a Saturday morning was never the issue... what was grievous is that JWs were busy bringing a rehearsed script of heresy to doors, working their way to "salvation" (so Witnesses are taught), but in actuality bringing deception and damnation to many. I'm praying God's blessing on you, and that you research and obey His biblical, born again plan of salvation (John 3:3-5, Acts 2:38,39)! Jesus loves you! :)

Right on, I like what you said. However getting involved with something and not testing it out is like buying a car and not starting the engine or test driving it. Although people are telling that person that they should,test drive the car, but they keep replying that the man who is selling the car said that they can't start it, they just have to believe in him. And that person says. "SOLD!" Ship the car to my house. Had they done reserch, they would not have gone into the organization.

The reason why I think in the 70's they thought that armagedon was near because. the end was supposed to be in a time hard to deal with.. with world war 2 just 30 years before and then the cold war... in the 70's there was a lul or a time of peace... and thats why they thought it was so close because armagedon is supposed to come like a theif in the night. because if it came during war times then u could kinda of maybe expctpect it....
