  • Well I've just heard 'take 3' which is equally as good, although 'take 2' has a beautiful flurry of notes which come after halfway through the song, quite exquisite. Danny seems to give his whole being. There's a nice bit of studio chat between Danny and Peter just before 'take 3' begins. Danny says.. "This had better be it man", then addresses Peter, "I like your guitar....Pete....I like your guitar", Peter says, "good init?", (isn't it), Danny says "yeah...." and laughs.

  • This is almost too good to be true. A dream guitar player. Some guitarists look a bit awkward when playing, Danny looks and sounds so blended into the music, voice, playing and movement. He can be heard at the end of this track saying "one more", can it really be improved??!!!

  • @MusicalTree3 "ONE MORE"....youre right!!..never heard it...you got good ears..but you know..

every artist knows that it can be better, but I think that Danny almost reached it here...

    Tks 4 your comment.

    Have a nice day.

    Vanu.

  • Fantastic phrasing,fantastic tone,fantastic soloing,fantastic voice....passion and commitment.....what else is there to ask for?????VIVA DANNY!!!!

  • I used to sing this live in a Fleetwood Mac tribute - i was basically Danny Kirwan. Iv eposted our version of World in Harmony on my youtube site if you want to listen. This is a fave of mine.

  • I wonder if people in general understood how important Kirwan was for the musical direction of Fleetwood Mac. Without Kirwan we would have been left with Green and Spencer and tons of more Elmore James songs.

Green may be Green, but Kirwan is Kirwan and I'm quite pissed by the fact that he has been so overlooked. I don't think people are aware of Greens generosity allowing Kirwan to play lead on many of Greens songs, e.g The Green Manalishi, Oh Well and others. I miss Danny Kirwan every day.

  • Oh wow, this is just great. I remember I was very young and just discovered good music and heard this one for the first time. Completely swept me of my feet.

  • Fantastic. There has never been a bad version of this song! I love his humming--he does that also on a few other songs I think a few from the chess sessions? Very quirky and endearing! Thanks for posting and nice visuals ~ b
