semi bricked means you can access the recovery menu (only available with custom firmware) and you can not access the main PSP menu.  Therefore it's not fully bricked...it's semi-bricked.

They're both against it, they both unlock the same kind of things (pirated apps/games, completely change the theme etc.), and are both called firmware. So yeah, they're pretty much the same.

It's also for PSP owners who do not have a pandora battery + magic memory stick...they can recover from a semi-brick.

The process in this video (as the title suggests) is meant for CUSTOM firmware (not official firmware).

I don't think pandora battery + magic memory stick will work with your PSP. I don't think there is anything you can do about your PSP hacking.

bricked means if your PSP can not operate normally. You can not access the main PSP MENU (picture, music, video, games etc) and you can not access the recovery mode. Your psp is as good a "paper weight" or "brick".

being bricked means your device is inoperable. This process helps to fix a SEMI-BRICKED psp.

I only removed the battery at the end because when I press "X" to reset....my PSP power light always blinks and the PSP does not reset...so I have to remove the battery and re-insert it to reset the device.

Don't know why it does that. You don't need a spare battery to complete this process. Just one battery.

This application will only work with CUSTOM firmware. You have 6.10. That is SONY official firmware. You have two options

1. look into chickHEN (a special hack that may get your PSP hacked)
