I wish I could be in the room so he wouldn't insult me along with the assumed TV audience. Although he doesn't direct any comments at people solidly watching through his entire series on youtube to provide a background sound to his learning.
@smile221 that sentence blows your own argument out of the water. but if you need something more visceral how does an old acquaintance of mine saying that america deserved to be attacked on 9/11 grab you?
Oh Buzz Killington, why must you be at every show? I thought your critique was well written and you may very well have had a point there for a moment but it lacked comedy. And as an internaut, I'm rather regretful of having spent over twenty minutes reading your comment. At no point did my midriff make any contraction, and the only vital organ you stimulated was my gallbladder. It left me bitter and displeased, and I have yet to watch part 2 of the performance. Thanks BK, you chuckleplucker!
Pff...This series had one good episode, that being the 'Stand-Up' episode. That was fantastic, best bit of comedy possibly I've ever seen. But before that and ever since, Stewart Lee fails to convince. His style of long, drawn out stories with occasional punchlines and references to the audience is hilarious when he gets it right, but when he doesn't, there just aren't enough jokes. He gets hooked up on not being anti-Etonian, but then he still comes across as bitter and offensively left wing.
@alfalfalf101 Your comment summed up everything I love about Stewart Lee. "He gets hooked up on not being anti-Etonian, but then he still comes across as bitter and offensively left wing." A brilliant description!

so great that someone like this can get a series on BBC to say pretty much whatever he likes. Lee is so considered and sarcastic i love it

Offensiveness and leftism are incompatible. The more left-wing you are, the less offensive a human being.

Thanks for the upload! One note: in the video description you've listed this as episode 5 rather than 6.

@alfalfalf101 I wondered what compelled you to bother writing that, then i read your closing sentiment and all was made clear/disregarded
