okay i'm not sure about the speed differences of the flash drives...that is just one of my old flash drives i found laying around and it worked great on it. as for it working on any other computer, it should work as long as you can access the computers boot menu and choose boot from usb device. i use mine at school all the time...it's awesome.
Sorry one more; can you use the linux os on any other computer than the one you installed it on? E.G.: The power goes out in your house and a projects due tommorow, you go to the library and load your rough draft of your project and ubuntu onto the librarys computer and using linux instead of windows.
I have an Attache 4GB W/ 20MB/S Read and 15MB/S Write; will this program installed on the drive slow it down at all. And since it is faster than a Cruzer will linux boot up faster than yours? or does it make a difference? I have a 2GB Micro Cruzer should i use that instead? Sorry lots o' Questions! ;)
Linux has a bunch of versions and some are REALLY small, like a few hundred MB. And they make some pretty big flash drives too ...

yes go into your sound settings and look for the headphone settings. change them to headphone only, or something similar to that.
