  • RED LEADER DOWN

  • 0:17 Cmon man theres kids near

  • Fail, it has

  • make it easier to get back in the car for the trip home .won't it!

  • poor porkins!

  • Why in the world didn't they have HD cameras?

  • "Eject, Porkins! EJECT!"

  • @GreedoUT "I can hold it!!"

  • lol

  • The force was not with this X-Wing...

  • @TheBigTittyTwister TOO MUCH force was with it! LOL!

  • LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • They failed because of lack of structural strength on the winged structures, not due to the locations, thumbs up to beat out 09caboose who is no engineer! ;) (Besides, the force obviously was not with this one)

  • @TheHouseBlog i marked it down for pandering to 'thumbs up' even if you are an engineer and correct!

  • @nigelbanana That's a fair call :D

  • Talk about "re-kitting" itself!

  • PORKINS...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....

  • Stay on target.

  • came... from ... behind

  • 0:20 the guy on the megaphone '"Oh Shit!"

  • woulda been even more awesome if it headed towards the crowd.

  • ....which idiot designed that?

  • @Xuvial GEORGE LUCAS

  • @jasonwalden I think he means this "scale model", not the X-Wing itself.

  • haha; "whoa, shit!"

  • haha

  • ONLY ONE THING I CAN SAY FUCKING NERDS

  • @Tyboogie1932 why you watching this

  • @Tyboogie1932 I have two. 1) You're an idiot, and 2) GET THAT ANVIL OFF YOUR SHIFT KEY.

  • lol too much resistance

  • haaaaahahahahahahahahahahahaha too work for nothing baaaad

  • Ahahahaaa xD

  • red leader, im going down!

  • EPIC FAIL!!!!

  • sick

  • hey it was built to "destroy" at such low altitude? it seem more like a crash...

  • Great launch! Thanks for sharing.

  • s2k997, it's a space ship, remember? Zero atmosphere, zero drag, to hell with aerodynamics!

  • @Jyemon ah, you mean, they don't fly in the atmosphere? i thought so!

  • "SHIT."

  • use the force luke

  • totally out of this world:D

  • they should of used some Twin Ion Engines lolz

  • bla bla bla :D:D

  • why did it explode

  • @Sungatii It didn't explode. It disintergrated. Literally fell to bits due to the force it was placed under being greater than the strength of the frame, not to mention the craft aerodynamically sucks, from the perspective of drag at least, stability another. There IS a reason it only appeared in Sci-fi ya know.

  • was it made from plastic or somethin?

  • 10 hours of work+4 seconds in air=explosion

  • how many is big ? o.o

  • PA guy looks at wreckage, something isn't right here... lol

  • FAIL !

  • I just love the small parachute among the debris... Adds a touch of humor.

  • LOL...guy on PA system saying holy shit...

  • yeah lol fucking love it! cracks me up everytime haha

  • they failed because the rockets were on the wing not on the feusalage. so the wings were on too much stress to stay with the X-wing

  • @O9caboose looks like it was already going unstable when the wings failed. the sudden change in direction caused the failure.

  • lolz

  • Great video!! That was a SPECTACTULAR failure! ...But still,... it's cool to watch!

  • fail

  • RIP Porkins

  • lololol

  • @patmweav You forgot about Gold Leader.

    ,,, Standing By. BOOM

  • @patmweav LOL

  • what a waste of money

  • yes, it should be flying instead of exploding

  • Rock on Failblog

  • That wasn't FAIL...that was WIN.

  • in a faily kind of way ;)

  • Five Stars for rocket fail - saw on failblog!

  • Using the force FAIL

  • ¿pǝıp ʇǝʞɔoɹ ǝɥʇ pıp

  • yes it did and stop being one of those assholes posting upside down

  • Lol

  • Comment removed

  • Imagine some of the debris hit someone.... Ohhhh...... That would hurt...

  • how did you get so many views on this, damn.

  • it was posted on failblog

  • yeah I know this I saw it on there. But the video views on his channel don't go up by people viewing it on failblog I don't think

  • it was on failblog

  • Wow. Yes I know this i have no idea why people keep telling me this.

  • you've been failblog'd =] lol

  • Lol Failblog.

  • Nice job getting it failblog'd

  • You're fast!

  • LOL From Failblog

  • lmao, I had a small x-wing rocket as a kid... it met a similar fate when I took it to school and launched it. I think the hole in the football field is still there...

  • lol

  • well it looked cool anyway right?

  • R2D2 didn't make it.

  • FAIL

  • that was a waste of money....

  • lol

  • a hahhahha i love this so much, such a great reaction on tape too

  • ke cosa da NERD

  • lol kids are like this is great but on no

  • I saw that coming... those big fucking wings create drag

  • BUMMER, BUT MAKES GOOD TUBE VIDEO.

  • FAIL on nerds is EPIC FAIL!

  • That was unfortunate but awesome.

  • WTF, everybody is laughing lol

  • they came from... behind...

  • SHOULDA USED THE FORCE LUKE.

  • hahaah everyone was still cheering even tho it blew up yaaaaay

  • The squad lider is down!

  • lider...wtf...leader

  • nice try

  • x-wing fail...

  • Man, I had an X-Wing Model rocket - the smallest rocket couldn't take it off the pad it was so heavy, and with the larger one the thing got caught and the rocket burned a hole through the metal pad. The last rocket also didn't take it high enough and it crashed and broke up.

  • back in the day i had an estes model of the viper (from battlestar galactica). it called for a C engine in the body, and had three hollow tubes for the 'engines' which by accident or not happened to be the exact size of a D engine.

so long story short, i stuffed in 1C and 3 D engines and i never saw my viper again. didn't blow up but i have no idea what county it landed in.

  • lol poor guy

  • You've got one on your tail Porkins!

  • RIP luke...

  • ahahahaha!!!! the crew and the passengers are died from that crush but they all happy and clap! hahaha!! joke!

  • wtf, are died? crush?

  • didnt i said it was joke?

  • lmao aerodynamics r off this vid is super funny

  • Thank God the pilot bailed out!

  • Thats funny how it broke, but I think the whole thing was fake.

  • This was real. The team did know there was a good chance of this happening, but decided to launch anyway. But it was definitely not CGI or anything like that.

  • in what way?

  • Rocket launches

    *big cheers!*

    Rocket gets blown to bits

    *EPIC FAIL!*

  • R2 unit was obviously malfunctioning.

  • It's Imperial sabotage.

  • back to the ol' drawing board

  • Remember to use super glue next time. besides that. that was amazing. Tie fighter next?

  • what about a Falcon with rockets for repulsorlifts?

  • Not enough duct tape

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • No No! I'm alright! I'm AlGAHHH!!

  • It needed just a little bit more super glue

  • COVER ME PORKINS

  • fail!!!

  • did u hear the guy on the mega phone, "HOLY SHIT!" LOL!

  • i think they need to use more than elmer's glue to hold that thing together

  • That looked so cool! How big a model was it?

  • It was a 1:1 model.

  • partially succeed.

want to see a next trial.

  • OWNED!!! XD

  • Who was the unlucky sob who flew in the thing???

  • i think it was just a model lol

  • Porkins?

  • Just need to edit a TIE fighter into the video with some cheap laser effects and make it look like that's what blew up the X-Wing

  • xd ale pierduknoł

  • Damn If i was a star wars film maker..id use that explosion for a prop for the next star war movie..thats cool..of course with the permission from the owner..

  • Well, it looks like the resistance is doomed!

Have they tried to recreate the Challenger disaster? Very well done!

  • Oh my god a valid youtube argument. I guess in rocket videos people aren't complete idiots.

  • Cheap Star Wars Prop.

  • i love how everyone tries to give a sound explantation of what has happened.. hahaha reading some of these explanations is too much. i just had to comment - please save yourselves the couple minutes it takes you all to come up with these sometimes obvious, sometimes up-surd explanations and do something else.

  • Use the force luke...

    Oh wait... too much.

  • woooooo

  • that was cool sorry it crashed ...do it again..gee how much did that cost

  • It was meant to crash, those are one time use rockets anyways.

  • No, it is not a one-time use rocket. It is meant to be recovered via parachute.

  • Did you watch the other video regarding this though? They say "I don't expect it to hold, but we'll launch anyways" or something along the lines of that.

  • Yes. However, that's not a "this is a one time use rocket". What they're saying is: "hopefully it'll survive, but it's likely it won't". Also, you can clearly see a parachute in both videos.

  • use the horse luke

  • damn tie fighters finally got luke

  • damn tie fighters finally got luke

  • Ok.....Here to speak some sense. (I hope)

To all those that just say "FAIL", as if what they have just seen is "a bit of fun....he he he he" etc, This rocket belonged to someone and whoever that was, was probably in tears at this point. So few people realise the work, the sweat, the tears etc etc, that goes into the making of a model such as this. It would have taken a small team MONTHS of work.

Just try to have a little respect for these guys, when, sadly something goes wrong.

  • That's true Fiddleup.. Though, if one (or a team) is going to engage in something huge like this, they've got to expect the possibility of a 50/50 failure/success rate. If anything, it should show them that something went wrong in their engineering..next time make it even better and more reliable. Even Space agencies cross their fingers somewhere when a rocket or shuttle takes off and or reenters the atmosphere.

In this case, i think part of the fun is seeing if its gonna work.........Or not.

  • True enough pnktout, but I just hate all this "FAIL"....."MUHHHAHAHA" etc etc!!

I think the guys need a break .

  • Yep, fiddleup you're right on that. I'm sure not many know how much hard work, time and money it takes to accomplish something like this. Perhaps more folks can offer more of asking "WHY" did it fail, rather than "you suck and fail" etc.. Unless they've attempted to engineer it them selves, there's not much room for comments like that.

  • lol damn...

I love he even use the bullhorn to say Holy shit lol

  • Didn't even notice that!

    XD

  • Man!

That thing lasted about as long as a fart in a whirlwind!

    Do it again!!!!

  • Minä en halua olla tämän ilmalaivan pilotti .

  • You should edit in darth vader flyin by and nailing it with some fazers...

  • epic fail

  • so that is how they filmed the fighters blowing up for the big screen. XD

  • Failtacular!

  • Awesome but...FAIL!

  • y'a des gens comme ça qui ont trop de temps libre...

  • The rocket owned itself

  • laf my ass off

  • thank god there was no one inside it o_O

  • The force is not strong with this one...

  • lol

  • it looked awesome...... for about 3 seconds

  • lol epic fail

  • dude dat shit is huge!

  • It might have needed some carbon rods :D

  • The owner of this X-Wing fighter said it costed around $5,000.00 to be built. Now all that money down the drain. So Sad!
