A showman, very little more - and I'm sure his choice of attire wasn't chosen by HIM, but rather, by his publicist ...The guy behind the curtains that makes this LESS THAN IMPRESSIVE violinist HUGE.

Classical music ought to have beauty and class, not strict dress code and grim faced audiences. I make it a rule to be at concert halls in my faded Levi's 501

with a jacket and a tie. We can discuss opera and symphony in jeans as long as we have enough knowledge of the genres. And I love to see Davis Garrett perform in his T-shirt and jeans. Great artists can prove their talent whatever they wear.

honestly i've seen comments about the way he dresses on some of the other vids as well... but really i don't think the clothes matter...he will play just as well in a tux as in jeans and a t-shirt, his clothing shouldn't reflect on his talent

Wenn alle so sind wie alle anderen dann ist es nicht mehr etwas besonderes. Die Menschheit ist ja David Garrett gerade dafür dankbar das er die klassische Musik modern macht und so neues Publikum gewinnt. Er ist der Beethoven der Neuzeit und hat jedliche Freiheit auf der Bühne sofern er weiterhin solch außergewöhnliche Musik spielt.

Also lass ihn mit Badehose da stehen, davon wird die Musik nicht schlechter

@Laurik08 Yea its sad. He is playing a famous piece by Kreisler, and he has no respect to even dress up. Ever violinist knows to dress up, no matter what. Jascha Heifetz and all the greats will dis-approve against this.

I do not think Kreisler would feel offended to see David Garrett perform Liebesfreud in a T-shirt and jeans

were he alive now. What he might seek is an excellent violinist in jeans rather than a lousy performer in

tuxedos
