  • hi

  • And then came science.

  • I like this video, it does say what I've thought for a long time, Billy Graham just says it much better. Where does the conscience get it's information from as to God's law if not from God. All men know that murder, lying, theft, is wrong even though we still witness these things today. I believe we are all given the knowledge to know right from wrong, but what we do with that knowledge is the key. Men do love their sin though, thanks for the video.

  • Animals have conscience as well.. Guess that means there must be a Rabbit Jesus, Moley Spirit and Hog the Father as well.

  • @8DX Animals live by instinct. They don't live by a moral code that teaches them between right and wrong.

  • @Rachella38 You're talking insects - they have instinct-only behaviour (look up "fixed action pattern"). Animals with larger and more complex brains have the ability to learn (habit, memory) and experience a whole variety of brain processes including conscience. And no, people don't live just by some "moral code that teaches them between right and wrong." Humans feel empathy and this naturally makes people feel revulsion to harming others. What are taught are the rules of social engagement.

  • @8DX A Conscience tells you right from wrong. Animals don't have that. They learn from habit, instinct, and how they're treated by humans. Dogs are called man's best friend because they're loyal. If you treat them right, they'll love you for it. But if you mistreat them, they'll become vicious. They're an animal of habit.

I don't want to get off on the subject of animals because this video is about mankind having a conscience, that's put there by God. To tell us right from wrong.

  • @Rachella38 Well you're wrong, animals with larger brains are capable of empathy and moral behaviour (mostly) within their species, albeit not consciously rationalised. The reason I'm talking about animals is that the existance of morality is something pretty heavily studied and quite well understood and apart from not being unique to humans, it is in no way indicative of some supreme or "higher" being. Social species require empathy to survive.

  • @8DX Is murder wrong? Is stealing wrong?

  • @Rachella38 Yes. I'm surprised you even need to ask such a question.

  • @8DX Who do you think put that into each of us? To know right from wrong?

  • @Rachella38 I don't think anyone "put things" into us. That's like asking "who put your intestines in you." No one did, they just grew on their own. And the reason we are what we are is due to the history of life on Earth. I'm pretty certain no one put the idea of stealing or murder being bad "into" me, I have an innate feeling that these are bad because they harm other people and because of empathy I feel bad if someone is being harmed.

  • All one has to do to know what he believes is go to his website.

He's preached the same Gospel for 60 yrs.

Jesus is the Way, and the Only way to Eternal Life.

  • I pray for this man, there is alot of bad press on Him now and even if these 'famous' preachers were put out there to feed untruths they still spoke the name of 'Jesus' and just that name alone will take one to truth.
