Not sure I would say Chris Rice is undiscovered. He's done some really good music that were hits on the Christian music charts ("Smell the Color Nine"). He's just more of a ballad/folk singer/song writer. They don't get as much play.
This song was written by recording artis Chris Rice. I love his version as well as this one.....Chris went to college with my sister, what a wonderful guy he is! A true talent that is truly undiscovered.

I read the birth accounts in Matthew and Luke and can't help but feel such a strong happiness for Jesus! When I think about Jesus coming into this world, I think about the beautiful reason I live at all. Jesus makes me happy and thankful, not things in a box. I love you Jesus!
We did a musical by this name Christmas 2001. To show how God's timing is always perfect, we previewed towards the end of August. About 2 weeks later was when we were hit on 9/11. The entire musical was just sooooo perfect at that particular time!!! Whenever I hear the song it makes me think back to that tragic time but also reminds me how God is in control of everything!!!

arpeggioh... i feel the exact same way. Every time I heard this I just tear up.. I'd have to sing it a hundred times to even attempt to sing it in public. I DO however like chris rice's version better.. a bit more soulful. MWS does it justice too though.
I could, and would truly love, to sing this song at our Christmas Eve service (I'm the music director, so I get to decide!)...but I honestly don't think I could sing those lyrics without crying, and it's basically impossible to cry and sing at the same time!!

michael's good and all but i like it in it's orginal chris rice singing it form. michael has a raspiness and almost nasaly tone that doesn't really work for this song. i like the arangement though. no offense to any micheal fans : )
